ABOUT ABBOTT

Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbott’s Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for the workplace, healthcare providers, and individuals.

The position of eMRO Resource Representative serves our Toxicology business unit principally located in our Richmond, VA office.  eMRO Resource Reps are responsible for calling, faxing and emailing our clinic partners to obtain required documentation to support prompt turnaround time of results to our clients.

This job description will be reviewed periodically and is subject to change by management.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Make outbound phone calls to clinics to obtain required paperwork for drug and alcohol testing.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Excel spreadsheets to track progress and performance.
  • Work through all emails received which may contain sensitive data and requires printing and faxing to our image processing workflow.
  • Communicate internally to ensure daily production requirements are met.
  • Observes legal and ethical guidelines for safeguarding patient and company confidentiality.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

REQUIRED

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2-3 or more years of related experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

PREFERRED

  • Prior drug testing knowledge
  • Federal DOT Drug Testing regulation knowledge
  • Ability to understand and explain general collection, laboratory and medical review procedures
