WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Nike is looking to hire an Employee Relations (“ER”) Manager to its London office. An ER expert is required to educate and advise our teammates about Nike culture and policies, investigate concerns about potential policy violations and other workplace behavior, and support our teammates through challenging workplace situations. A strong analyst, effective communicator and calm operator you’ll make daily decisions and recommendations that have a direct impact on stewarding the Nike culture.

 

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

During a typical day, you could be carrying out a complex investigation, advising HR partners on an employee scenario or meeting with a project team to develop a new process or policy guidance. You may find yourself conducting training for the ER team or business leaders or collaborating with key partners on ER data insights and trends. Your primary work will be to investigate, coach and develop the ER Specialists in your team and show up as a leader who can share skills and knowledge in a manner that is credible and inspires trust and engagement. 

 

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

You will report to the ER Director EMEA and will lead ER Specialists withing the EMEA ER team. In addition, you will partner closely with peer ER Managers and collaborate with HR team mates and business leaders. A truly Global team you will connect with our ER teammates around the Globe. Our work is to steward the Nike culture, so you will interact with teammates in our stores, offices and headquarters under a variety of circumstances.

 

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, HR, Psychology or related field

  • Experience in Labor Law and/or Employee Relations in an international organization in at least two EMEA countries

  • Expertise in conducting complex workplace investigations and restoration of organizational health

  • Expertise in crisis management in relation to Employee Relations issues

  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing, project management, negotiating and operational skills are required

  • A strong team player with the ability to work cross functionally and cross country

  • Enthusiasm to build a network with external organizations/bodies to gain knowledge and influence the EMEA external agenda

  • Strong influencing skills with proven success in influencing employees at all levels of the organization in a consultative methodology.

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a wider EMEA Employee Relations Team
