Job Summary:

We are looking for an Employee Center Representative. The primary responsibilities of the Full-Time Representative position are to maintain outstanding customer service, create sales, merchandise product, receive and verify shipments, inputting of merchandise into POS system and support the store management team.

This position falls within the jurisdiction of the OPEIU Collective Bargaining Agreement; it is a union position under the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU).

You will report to Manager and Buyer for Employee Centers.

Responsibilities:

On any given day, as an Employee Center Representative, you might:

  • Ensure each customer receives outstanding service
  • Open and close the registers and Centers
  • Maintain and perform daily inventory counts of all tickets
  • Perform daily deposits and change request
  • Maintain awareness of inventory levels and restocks throughout the scheduled shift
  • Accomplish the daily operational goals and priorities assigned by management
  • Data entry of inventory
  • Uphold merchandising and store cleanliness standards
  • Process new shipments and keep the receiving and back stock area clean and organized
  • Aid customers in locating merchandise in store and process special orders
  • Answer customers' questions and provide information
  • Receive and verify shipments
  • Input product into the POS system
  • Visual merchandising

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in cash handling and cash register
  • Can work flexible hours to meet our needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to assist diverse customer experiences
  • Retail experience
  • Commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction
  • Knowledge of basic hardware related products
  • Team player who is also able to work with minimal supervision
  • Keen attention to detail and organized
  • Experience handling multiple transactions
  • Knowledge of retail visual merchandising
  • Experience receiving and processing shipments

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to lift heavy objects (50+ pounds)
  • Ability to stand for an extended period of time
  • Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of retail computer systems

Required Education

  • High School Degree or Equivalent
