Job Description

Instant Payments rollouts are a Global Program which, while Regulatory in nature, have the objective to remodel the core payment infrastructure to provide a strong foundation for standardization of processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and operational leadership into the annual book of work

  • Provide inputs on Client Operations scenarios for a complete E2E Test Plan

  • Communicating progress of the project(s) to relevant Senior Management

  • Drive department adherence to Quality Management System

  • Track and monitor project activities against agreed business dates

  • Identify, track and document issues and risks where appropriate

  • Ensure documented reviews of project documentation takes place

  • Defining the Target Operating Model scores for the Implementation and map quarterly progress

  • Represent Operations in PU sessions, providing inputs.

  • Track and manage the elimination of Manual Touch Points

  • Define, Execute/Support PVT activities

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Well versed with ISO 20022 message structures would be an advantage.

  • Prior experience of large multi-stream projects and programs

  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle

  • Experience producing excellent communication material and presenting to Senior Stakeholders

  • Detailed understating of Payment messaging and end-to-end flows from Client initiation to Clearing and settlement

  • Understanding of Agile methodology and tools like Jira, Confluence would be beneficial

  • Experience in any or all of Cross border payment processing, SWIFT standards, ACH payment processing, Cheque processing and Nostro reconciliation would be useful

  • Strong Analytical skills

  • Ability to work on own initiative

  • Ability to work in a pressured environment and in meeting deadlines

  • Excellent organisation and administrative skills

  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Flexibility

  • Clear communicator ability to relay precise information both orally and in writing to senior management

  • Good time management skills

  • Ability to articulate ideas in a simple coherent way
