Job Description

Job summary

Amazon Web Services is leading the next paradigm shift in computing and is looking for world class candidates to lead and manage our partnerships with leading Systems Integrators. Are you passionate about helping customers across all market segments move to and build new solutions on industry-leading database technologies like RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, and Elasticache? Customers of all sizes and industries are moving to AWS and they look to trusted SI partners to help them get there. As our partners recognize this shift in their customer base, they are eager to learn best practices and strategies to take their customers to the next level, deepening their profitable relationships with both their customers and AWS.

Your responsibilities as Partner Development Leader is to build executive and field relationships with major global partners to drive growth around AWS database services. By establishing and growing business and technical relationships, and managing the interactions with key stakeholders at the partner, you will be responsible for driving top line revenue growth for Databases, and overall end customer adoption across all market segments. The candidate will possess the business background that enables them to engage at the partner executive level, have the channel experience to understand the needs and capabilities of their partner, and the sales background needed to easily interact with customers and sales/field reps. The candidate should think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions. Most of all, you will have the opportunity to nurture and grow key, strategic relationships with our GSI and SI partner community as they deliver new and exciting services for AWS’s millions of global customers.

Amazon provides an array of benefits including paid vacation, PTO, and family leave for both mothers and fathers. While this role is not remote and regular face-to-face time with colleagues, stakeholders, and customers is essential, the flexibility of working from home to support your family and your personal goals is available. This role requires some travel across EMEA (when approved), to meet with and support partners as well as internal stakeholders, up to 15%. Committed to a healthy work/life balance, most travel dates and times are negotiable and flexible. Our team is committed to equal opportunity employment, actively seeking a broad and diverse pool of applicants and team members. We are also committed to the long-term development of our team members, including training opportunities, mentorship, and career growth both within AWS and across Amazon.com in general.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

• Manage and drive joint sales engagements between the partner and AWS sales teams.
• Engage the partner’s field sales organization, channels, and end customers to create and drive revenue opportunities for AWS.
• Identify specific customer segments and industry verticals to approach with a joint value proposition for using AWS Databases with partners.
• Understand the technical and capability requirements of our partners and work closely with the internal development team to guide the direction of our product offerings.
• Prepare and give business reviews to the senior executive management team.
