Our Marketing & Engagement Team

 

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a technically-minded Email Automation Executive/Officer to build and advance our Marketo instance; delivering best practice and key improvements in our email automation.

 

As an Email Automation Executive, you will have excellent, practical working knowledge of email automation techniques such as: building smart campaigns, segmentation, reporting and data management.

 

To be successful in this role you will have a passion for finding the best technical solutions to help us engage with our ever-growing audiences; using your experience of creating user journeys, through sophisticated email automation, to deliver content and offers to the right audiences, in the right place, at the right time.  

Being responsible for the way we execute our Marketo instance as well as advising on and creating segmentation, testing plans and the associated reporting. 

Developing our use of Marketo; using innovative thinking and attention to detail to help us meet our goals. 

Support the wider marketing and fundraising teams with campaign reviews, programme set ups, platform insights and some data management.

Location

 

Our Email Automation Exec will be offered on a remote working basis, with a requirement to attend our main hub spaces as and when required for team working a collaborative meetings.   

 

Relevant hubs include: Leeds, Liverpool, Burnley, Newark, Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Gloucester, London.

 

Applicants would ideally be accessible to Birmingham, Milton Keynes or Hatton for intermittent catch ups with the team. The regularity & flexibility of travel will be discussed further at interview stage.

You will be an excellent communicator and goal setter who is good at managing stakeholders. You won’t be afraid to take on new challenges, look for creative solutions to problems and will look for innovative ways to achieve targets and improve digital marketing performance.

 

Key responsibilities:

Build Marketo email campaign programmes to enable our email marketing executive to deliver targeted communications to our large database.

Manage system smart lists in Marketo.

Build smart campaigns for selection and processing of contacts.

Build reporting for analysing email campaigns.

Input and provide content insights for emails.

Advise on and build new segmentations.

Support, design and deliver email testing plans.

Send out fast-turnaround email communications (reputational and appeals).

Deliver email marketing support to wider teams.

Manage data imports into Marketo.

Content and lead scoring in Marketo.

Skills and experience

Advanced email automation experience (Marketo preferred). 

Knowledge of Marketo.

Track record of successfully building segmented audience journeys.

Practical experience of creating tokens (Marketo preferred) or custom scripts for personalisation.

Advanced reporting skills.

Track record of implementing audience segmentation.

Excellent project management skills.

Strong understanding and application of GDPR principals and data protection.

Good working knowledge of email HTML, CSS, and deployment.

Qualifications & Education:

Clear practical email automation experience.

A demonstrable understanding of the email market and competitor knowledge.

Marketo certified associate qualification is desirable, but not essential.

Data analysis experience.

CRM experience (reporting and automation).

Degree in relevant discipline, advantageous.
