This role involves providing consultancy for the design and subsequent implementation of the Ellipse EAM product into AMT-SYBEX’s client base.

Job Description:
The role involves combining product knowledge with industry experience to provide the customer with a solution that will meet their business needs and deliver the identified business benefits.
The primary area of knowledge for this role is Ellipse modules associated with Asset and Maintenance (often also referred to as asset and work management). However, given that Ellipse is an EAM product the consultant needs to have a good appreciation of other modules of the Ellipse product. The role also involves having an appreciation of requirements for integration to other corporate systems.
The consultant may report to a project manager, solution architect, lead consultant, design authority or work on their own with a client. Therefore, the consultant must work well within a team and alone.
Whilst the role is an Ellipse one, there will be development and career opportunities to work in different areas across our products and solutions.
The consultant is typically involved in the following project activities:
Requirements capture and analysis
Benefit identification and justification
Solution design
Specification of product customisations
Specification of report and management information requirements
Specification of data requirements
Configuration and Build
Testing
Training
Go Live planning and support
Embedding activities post go live
What we're looking for:
Functional knowledge of Ellipse Asset and Maintenance Management
Functional appreciation of other Ellipse sub-systems and modules such as Materials Management
Experienced in upgrades of Ellipse (particularly v8 to v9 and / or v6 to v9)
Experienced as a project team member involved in an implementation or as a skilled user of Ellipse within an operational business
Experienced in field of engineering, asset and/or work management and maintenance either as an employee or as consultant
Experienced in producing high quality written outputs (deliverables) associated with implementations - essential
Experienced in working closely with client business and IT staff - essential
Experienced in planning own area of work (standalone or as part of a larger project) - preferable
Experienced in the deployment of proven methodologies for project implementations – essential
Experienced in translating business needs into IT solutions and conversely confirming a solution will meet business needs (benefits aware)
Experience of working with the asset, operations or maintenance areas of utilities and/or rail organisations
Basic understanding of integration capabilities and typical integrations for EAM products
