About the role

In this challenging and exciting position at our site in Gothenburg you are working in a Department developing and verifying satellite onboard products, satellite electronics equipment and satellite sub-systems.

Your responsibilities

• On system level, define and document the verification approach for products and sub-systems, and strategically responsible for the verification philosophy and architecture from prototypes to (high volume) production.
• On system level, define test specifications and manage tracing of requirements together with the adjacent Software, FPGA and Hardware developments teams.
• To pro-actively interface with adjacent Software, FPGA and Hardware development teams to secure maximum synergies between software, FPGA and hardware validation tests and system level tests.
• Designs, implements and performs all kinds of software integration and validation tests at all levels to close requirements.
• Participate in meetings with customers / sub-contractors and manage technical issues.
• Lead the overall architecture of the test equipment and its development, including generation of test cases and the associated implementation.
• Define technical verification concepts, modularity, synergies across Beyond Gravity products and technology choices together with technical lead engineers.
• Lead the integration and manage configuration of the development models on system level.
• Lead system-level test campaigns up to product qualification, including EMC, and supports the production facility in recurring test campaigns and failure investigations.
• Take the technical, budgetary and schedule responsibility for the fulfilment of the assigned engineering tasks including the handover to the development teams.
• Define the verification concept on system-level in proposals.
• Work in close collaboration with the systems Engineers, and preferably be able to overlap to some extent.

Your profile

• A master’s degree or similar experience.
• Experience or knowledge of verification of real-time space systems, from definition of verification approach and test specification, to Test report and Verification Control Document (VCD), including EMC and the production test flow.
• Be able to take a system level perspective of an electronics design to incorporate all composed disciplines, (Hardware, Software, FPGA), including future evolvements and future technologies.
• Ability to implement the test philosophy as a profound programmer in C/C++/Python.
• Be able to set up trade-off’s regarding cost, time, quality, performance, etc., based on the combination of the customer’s need and the projects budget.
• Interest in and knowledge of different test hardware and test software architectures, tools, and ways of working.
• Fluent in English.

• Experience as team leader, presumably cross-functional, focusing on progress.
• Experience within agile methods or experience as leader for agile teams, e.g., Scrum master or Product Owner.
• A T-shaped profile that can support other roles within the development teams.
