Job purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Electronics Hardware (eHW) Architect in our electrical engineering organization. The eHW Architect will work with the customer to obtain, document and understand product requirements, ensure that they are managed and under revision control, ensure that the design team implement and tests these requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Work with customer to establish and capture requirements in documents or models
• Work with customer on product design for safety by creating required ISO 26262 supporting documentation and testing
• Work with design team to capture product requirements and create required ASPICE Documents
• Work with design team to establish requirement traceability in Polarion or equivalent requirements management tool.
• Work with design team to understand how to implement and test requirements
• Support product development bench equipment
• Work with test groups to create requirement traceability matrix documents

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software or other STEM engineering discipline
• Will consider engineers with as little as 3 years’ experience; however, ideal candidate will have more than 8 years’ experience and be fully proficient to be the lead Electronics Hardware Architect Engineer on assigned program
• Knowledge of Engine Management Systems, Battery Management Systems or Electric Vehicle Propulsion Systems
• Knowledge of OBDII Diagnostics
• Familiarity with general lab equipment, Scopes, Meters, Debuggers
• Ability to understand how to debug software and reprogram products with debuggers
• Ability to understand how to reprogram product memory with debuggers or serial tools
• Ability to operate ATI Vision or ETAS INCA Calibration development software
