This position will support the development of MotorGuide Trolling Motors and ASG Products which are developed and launched in our Lowell, MI facility.

A leading candidate for this position will be passionate in their desire to facilitate Attwood's mission of: Making life on the water easier to enjoy by developing and delivering high value marine products and being the best-in-class supplier to boat builders and distribution partners.

We are seeking Engineering Co-ops to join our engineering team in Lowell, MI. Responsibilities of this position varies depending on your experience each semester. These responsibilities will include:

  • Mentorship from a seasoned Electrical Engineer
  • Introduction to product development environment
  • Testing circuit boards
  • Validating changes with on water testing
  • Simple circuit verification 
  • Circuit board schematic capture
  • Bread-boarding circuits
  • Board level test design
  • Test fixture design
  • Circuit board subsection design
  • Circuit board design projects
  • Project performance validation
  • Embedded system programing

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Successful candidates will be pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering and 2+ years of higher education is preferred. Candidates must have:

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • The ability to coordinate numerous projects in a professional and ethical manner
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is preferred
  • Boating, fishing and/or marine industry experience is beneficial but not required.
