This role is responsible for the initiating, planning, coordinating, evaluating and executing of activities involved with Electrical Vehicle new product development, testing, product quality, product and project cost, scheduling and performance, launch and industrialization implementation. The candidate must possess the drive to become a leader that delivers outstanding results in a dynamic cross-functional environment.
Job Responsibilities:
•Manages a portfolio of new product, cost reduction, operational improvement and strategic initiatives which meet business objectives including profitability, budget, and timing
•Leads cross-functional teams and interfaces with all internal departments working on projects, to keep up to date on project status and ensure timely completion
•Updates management on progress of programs. Review potential roadblocks and recommend solutions
•Manage all customer programs and ensure proper coordination, prioritization and communication of customer requirements with internal cross functional teams
•Works with customers to ensure project meets customer requirements
•Facilitates cross-regional and cross-business unit communications
•Ensures proper coordination, prioritization, and communication of project objectives
•Aggressively pursue execution excellence utilizing standardized project management tools and compliance to Meritor processes including Windchill, GP3, etc.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS
•BS Degree in Engineering required
•Minimum 2-3 years of related project /program management experience required
•Experience leading projects and programs required
•Experience working in a cross-functional team environment required
•Automotive Product and Quality Process (APQP) stage gate knowledge required
•Manufacturing and Supply base knowledge required
•Problem solving tools and techniques required
•Advanced Microsoft Office (i.e. Project, Excel and PowerPoint) required
•Financial tools and metrics (i.e., Business case analysis, NPV and Payback) required
•Commercial Vehicle automotive Systems, highly preferred
•EV powertrain and drivetrain systems, highly preferred
•Drive axle component manufacturing (machining, welding, forging, and coatings) and assembly processes preferred
•Progressive responsibilities and successes in medium to large projects through their lifecycle preferred
•Strong teamwork and ability to interact with all levels and global regions of the organization required
•Effective oral and written communication skills including presentation creation and ability to communicate program status to all levels of the organization required
•Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities with minimal supervision required
•CAD experience preferred
