Job Description

The Workplace, Health & Safety (EHS) Standards Manager will report to the Sr. EHS Project & Standards Manger and will be a valued member of Amazon Logistics (AMZL) EHS EU Team. The responsibilities of the Standard Team are as versatile as implementing, monitoring and updating EHS Standards and Policies; internal reporting of EHS performance assuring accurate and complete data, ensuring legal compliance; assisting and monitoring projects and goal plans and provide data and trend analysis to enable continuous improvement. The EHS Standards Manager must be an effective communicator, sending clear, concise and consistent messages verbally and in written form. The role requires working effectively with all business owners to ensure the delivery and execution of EHS Processes and Standards. Cross-team coordination and excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing (English) are essential.

Responsibilities

· Collaborate with WW and EU program teams to align on program deliverables and best practices
· Develop, implement and track EHS Programs and Policies for the EU Network
· Collaborate with stakeholders and partners, including EHS, operations, audit and training teams to support effective implementation
· Ensure compliance and enforcement of legislation in EHS workflows
· Define and implement metrics to measure and communicate program achievements
· Define the overall program roadmap and provide periodic status updates
· Develop mechanisms to measure status of implemented Programs in stations and create action plans to close gaps

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications
· ·Education to degree level (preferred in safety/industrial/engineering or related discipline)
· Professional Safety certification required (Nebosh or equivalent
· 5+ years experience in EHS
· Experience in designing, revising and implementing safety processes and procedural documentation in an EU Network
· Experience in managing regulatory and standard compliance in an EU Network
· Strong full Project Cycle Management skills
· Proven record of accomplishment of sound decision making, taking ownership, and delivering results
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and good aptitude for learning additional software tools as needed
· Ability to adapt well to growing environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
· Excellent written and verbal English language skills - additional languages welcome
· Flexible approach to work, able to manage own priorities, able to work to tight targets and deadlines
· Willingness to travel 30% to 50%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· ISO management system experience strongly preferred
· Additional EU languages would be advantageous
· Good aptitude for learning additional software tools as needed
· Experience in Logistics would be advantageous
· Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment
· Experience in Emergency and Contractor Management in an EU Network advantageous
