EHS Engineer

 

Who We Are Looking For:

AGCO is working to build and maintain a strong safety culture at our AGCO Hesston, Kansas location. We are seeking an EHS Engineer to serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in Environmental, Health, & Safety for AGCO Hesston at the site level, reporting to the site EHS Manager. This position will be responsible for managing the development, review/revisions, implementation, and maintenance of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs to ensure employee safety, compliance, injury prevention, employee engagement, and risk mitigation as part of the AGCO Hesston EHS Team.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Execute site EHS compliance and management systems in accordance with governmental and company requirements.
  • Initiate, manage, and complete projects in EHS.
  • Create & maintain partnerships with AGCO Hesston management and employees to continuously improve the safety culture, awareness, and accountability in support of EHS programs.
  • Support environmental compliance metrics and reporting including storm water, hazardous material management, air permits, life safety, hazardous wastes,  spill prevention countermeasures and control programs, and chemical tracking and inventory programs.
  • Execute audits, IH sampling, ergonomic assessments, and assists in pollution prevention activities.
  • Must demonstrate personal integrity and high ethical standards.
  • Prepare, present, and track (record keeping) EHS training as necessary.
  • Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time.

 

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree on Safety or related field with 5+ years of work experience
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with all levels of organization
  • Ability to solve complex problems by: actively seeking information and new ideas from a variety of sources, consistently looking for novel ways to solve problems, and mastering unfamiliar information, tasks, and situations quickly and effectively
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office platform (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and data analysis
  • Strong data management and analysis skills as the position will be responsible for data management for Environmental Health and Safety
  • Strong people skills as the position will be required to influence people
  • Knowledge of basic application of Lean Tools
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Must be able to stand for several hours. Work may involve repetitive arm/wrist motions.

A Plus If You Have:

  • 7 years of experience in the field of Environmental, Health and Safety OR
  • Bachelor of Science degree in the field of Environmental, Health and Safety with 3+ years of related work experience OR
  • Strong project management skills as the position requires project manage across global operations
  • Strong data management and analysis skills as the position will be responsible for data management for Environmental Health and Safety
  • Strong people skills, as the position will be required to influence people
  • Lean Tools
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM)
