Job Description

The primary responsibility of Executive Corportate (ECS) Service Manager is to manage the service portfolio and delivery of the executive collaboration and support service (ECS). This global role manages key customers cross-segment including the Mars Family, Mars Leadership Team, Corporate Staff, and Global Segment Leadership Teams.  As the Executive Corporate (ECS) Service Manager, the role will also be responsible for the implementation of process management, budgets, and direct line management of five associates.

This role exists to ensure our Top 200 executives have the services, tools, and capabilities they need to perform their roles. It also exists to maintain a virtual global support network within both Mars Service Desk and Local Site teams to ensure Operational Excellence. The role aligns and holds accountable global support teams for the support of our IT and ECS services and partners. This role also has the freedom to innovate and establish new services/solutions from within the Digital/ECS development team where there is a customer demand and value add.

What are we looking for?

  • Skilled line manager with a strong background in IT project management or general project management.
  • Comfortable around higher management/C-Suite Executives
  • Able to navigate the ambiguity that often comes with navigating multi-faceted IT projects and initiatives.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Line Manage and develop 4 Associates (includes remote line management) adhering to HPC and Engagement philosophy set within the Corporate IT Team.
  • Manage and oversee the technical day to day operations for the ECS Service and handle any escalations
  • Represent the ECS group and become the customer spokesperson with other stakeholders in Mars Digital.
  • Build and foster collaborative partnerships with DT/Core Services expert centers and leverage resources and services to meet and innovate with the customer base. Challenge our standards and tactically align technology platforms where required.
  • Manage a central and dispersed virtual support team and hold them accountable for high visibility support activities
  • Accountability to ensure the overall MSD ECS Service and operations service levels are adhered to
  • Attend and or organize relevant crisis calls and lead team activities
  • Process/Program Management: Able to break a strategy into discrete pieces of work, simplifying the complex, organize people and activities and manage to execution.
  • Managing ECS Vision and Purpose: Motivate direct reports by communicating a compelling and inspired vision or sense of core purpose, creates energy as well as tangible elements such as ongoing activities and business development opportunities
  • Organizational Agility Understand how to navigate a complex, matrixed organization like Mars. Have the ability to influence various internal stakeholders without formal authority.
