The position will focus on the early Life-cycle program management of Build-out (B-out) projects . Support the entire network managed by ELM, and will have a strong focus on our core principles of innovation, bias for action, and ownership. The successful candidate will be a member of the EU Reliability team and will have ownership to develop and prepare the ELM B-out scoping processes for new capacity expansion projects, subsequently supporting the RME site team in the execution of B-out activities. In addition, they are the ELM point of contact for external 3P suppliers to develop effective deployment plans for quality assessments. Focusing on reliability and maintainability, they lead ELM processes to support innovation and drive design improvements. Constantly aiming for safety, better equipment uptime, efficiency, cost management, quality, customer satisfaction, and ultimately profitability within Amazon. Key activities for this position will include; Lead continuous improvement for new B-out projects, including cross functional change management and procurement. Execute B-out processes and plans to improve performance of the reliability team on project sites. Support the expansion and execution of the RME qualification process, including vendor feedback. Key job responsibilities
Key activities for this position will include; Lead ELM input for development of Scoping documentation for the B-out projects, taking the basic project charter to contract detail. Developing with the site RME team the Business continuity plan or risk mitigation plan to allow a seamless handover to construction or Ops eng team. Resource planning Lead continuous improvement for all B-out projects, including cross functional change management and procurement. Execute B-out processes and plans to improve performance of the reliability team on project sites. Support the expansion and execution of the RME qualification process, including vendor management and feedback. Ensure ELM policies and B-out activities are aligned.

A day in the life
Office day Working collaboratively, remotely interacting with stakeholders to support the successful B-out projects. Attending B-out and SME meetings as the ELM point of contact (POC). Using the standard project tracker process within EAM/APM to drive launch execution specific to B-outs.
On-site day Attending the IOQ process on site with the 3rd party vendors or developing the B-out process through onsite testing with stakeholders. Supporting the site RME team with the Business continuity plan and being a POC for the ELM team

The ELM team has 3 primary fields of interaction with the wider Amazon world. Greenfield launch support, build-out support and new technology introductions, but at its core, the team is the qualification and validation SME for Amazon.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Basic qualifications · Third level technical education in a related field. · Established project manager at a leadership level · Ability to lead others in a technical role and interact with all levels of management · Hands-on experience in material handling systems (MHS) installation, operation and maintenance · Experience and knowledge of modern CMMS and preventive / predictive maintenance techniques · Familiarity of analytical techniques · Experience in budget management including ROI analysis to build complex business cases · Working knowledge of diverse MHS and OEM’s · Experience working on projects across multiple sites. · Experience using MS Excel, MS Project, and MS Power Point · Ability to review and manipulate data in Excel across multiple data sources. · Willing to travel at least 50% of the time · English required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications · Degree in Engineering (any field) or a related field from an accredited university. · Strong working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies. · Established project manager at a leadership level on multi-site projects. · Experience of technical program management · MBA, advanced degrees, and/or Black Belt certification(s) · Proven record of expert communication skills & experience in managing multiple projects at once
