Job Description
The Technology E2E Test Team plays a crucial role in helping to ensure that IT applications are reliable & program delivery meets expected Business outcomes. Following a common and repeatable TUI Global E2E Test Approach, Framework & Standards that works across the Domains, Cloud, Engineering and the Business.
Working in the Technology Markets & Portfolio Department, and reporting into the Head of E2E Testing, the E2E Test Coordinator will manage and perform E2E Testing of the TRIPS 2-week BAU Releases, covering Holiday Products that are already live in Production. You will coordinate with, and work alongside, the TRIPS Test Champions, Holiday Product Leads, Release Management & UAT to help ensure all changes meet the expected E2E requirements, and are deployed to the TRIPS Production systems to time, scope and quality.
The E2E Test Coordinator will have ownership of the planning and execution of the 2-week E2E BAU Release test coverage. The E2E Coordinator role will work with a third-party test team to drive best Test & QA practice and the consistent coordination of Product quality. You will work alongside colleagues in the E2E Test Team to support the drive for digital first quality methodologies whilst understanding the IT testing initiatives and automation processes.
The role of the E2E Test Coordinator is vital to safeguarding our customers’ overall experience, from both a customer front-end and business user perspective. TUI needs to continuously improve in order to benefit the online customer experience and conversion whilst ensuring our live production services are meeting our customers’ expectations.
ABOUT THE JOB:
- Engaging with Test Managers, Test Champions and UAT to confirm the BAU Release E2E Scope & Approach
- Support the creation of the BAU Release E2E Test Plan for Preparation & Execution
- Coordinating with the TRIPS Release Manager for the preparation of E2E Testing, including landscape, data, resource and script creation in line with release gates and schedules
- Execution of BAU Release E2E Testing scope in alignment with Services according to the overall Release Plan
- Engagement, Alignment & Coordination with Business for Release UAT
- Providing timely & visible Release E2E Test KPI, Status & Risk reporting against agreed Criteria
- Support Release Go Live decisions with Signoff of Release E2E Testing, including highlighting remaining Risks & Issues
- Supporting the E2E Test Manager as required on major Program E2E Test activities
- Keep up to date with new Testing technologies and methodologies, and share & collaborate with members in the TUI Test Forum to help support Test Best Practice across TUI
- Ensure that E2E Testing supports the TUI Goals of successfully delivering Portfolio Pgm Projects faster, & with more flexibly to meet the expected Business outcomes
ABOUT YOU:
- We are looking for an ambitious individual who has experience of planning & coordinating regular BAU Release Testing
- Articulate communicator with the desire to interact with a diverse group of Stakeholders
- Happy to get close to the detail as required and directly support Service and UAT Teams when issues arise
- Exposure to a range of Test activities such as Functional, Integration, Regression, UAT and Automation
- Knowledge of Defect Management & experience of setting up and using Test Management tools for tracking & reporting Test activities
- Proactive and innovative problem-solving skills in a complex delivery environment
- Comfortable with setting up and running Test Planning, Progress and Signoff meetings
- Ability to define & communicate to Stakeholders the BAU Release E2E Test Approach and Plan
- Experience of monitoring and reporting on the Test Planning, Risks and Quality
- Understanding of when to escalate Quality problems appropriately and as required
- Ability to estimate & provide feedback to E2E Test Management on workload & availability of testing resources
- Desire to maintain & enlarge your own test knowledge by reading professional literature, taking courses, attending conferences, as well as evaluating the QA market and its evolution
- Ability to document and support internal audits and other quality assurance activities in the Test area
- Experience of working in a demanding Customer facing industry is highly desirable
- ISEB/ISTQB Test Foundation Certification
