About the Role
Successful candidates will be responsible for performing a range of test engineering tasks across the development life-cycle, including but not limited to: assisting with requirements elaboration, test analysis, test design, test execution and reporting.
In addition to these general test activities, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to investigate Cyber threats, develop test support tools, simulators and analysis tools to support testing and integration.
You will be able to learn and apply knowledge of Cyber, computer systems and hardware test engineering best practice. You will have the opportunity to apply appropriate processes, procedures and tools throughout the development life-cycle.
Training can be provided to support learning and career development.
Successful candidates will provide input into estimating/planning, will work under limited supervision to meet customer needs and contribute towards ensuring that project milestones are met.
The position will be full-time within the existing team delivering cutting edge solutions for both customer and Lockheed Martin enterprises.
For our senior “Level 3†roles, candidates will have strong technical expertise and have general knowledge of other related disciplines. Candidates will have the opportunity to develop technical solutions to a wide range of problems under general direction and/or have experience of leading small teams. Our Senior staff will be given the opportunity to mentor others in their field.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to represents the organisation on technical matters and will interact with external personnel on technical matters.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
Keen to develop well rounded engineering skills across a wide range of systems and tools.
High standard of ethics and personal accountability.
Self-starter with the ability to work with little supervision.
Education and experience in an Electronics or related discipline
Keen attention to detail
Willingness to learn
Open minded and inquisitive nature
Skilled or interested in any of the following:
Testing within our key competencies of Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Intelligence Analytics or Software & Systems Development.
Testing systems developed utilising a number of the following technologies: RF, Networking, Telecoms, Internet and IP related technologies, Embedded systems and programming, Cloud technologies.
Developing test support tools or automated scripts using modern languages or scripting.
Working in a test capacity in the areas of Cyber Detection, Forensics, COTS Integration and Agile Systems Development
Liaising with clients and development team members to elaborate testing scope and needs.
Desired skills, qualifications and experience
(Relevant experience will be acceptable in lieu of formal education. Other qualifications, e.g. HND, with experience will be acceptable).
