Total annual pay range £16,863 - £20,739

Overtime may also be available, in addition to your contractual hours

New LGV drivers joining the business before November to support the Partnership through peak will recieve a welcome payment of £1,000, payable at the end of January 2022.

Part time - Afternoon shift

Start times are between 13:00 and 17:00.  Based on a 4 hr window.

We have a mix of 2 and 3 days shifts available across the weekend. Working hours are 9.5 hours per day (  19 hours or 28.5 hours per week. ).

Your performance will drive your pay and progression here at John Lewis & Partners. We believe in rewarding Partners for their hard work. You’ll regularly meet with your People Manager to discuss your performance and set goals throughout the year so that you can understand how to improve and develop within your role.

More about the role:

• Complete all branch / distribution centre deliveries and supplier collections within given timescales.

• Complete all vehicle checks and follow correct defect reporting procedures

• Complete all required documentation accurately

• Operate the vehicle in a safe and economical manner with feedback from our telematics systems.

• Ensure that your vehicle is maintained in a clean and tidy condition.

• Effectively communicate problems and delays to all relevant parties

• Safely loading and unloading whilst complying with the correct procedures for given location

• Maintain a full knowledge of the Highway code, WTD, EU Drivers Hours Regulations and Vehicle operations

• Ensure all Legal, Health and Safety legislation and Operational procedures are adhered to and to work within Health and Safety guidelines at all times ensuring the safety of self and others

• Ensure all Personnel procedures are adhered to and completed

Required Qualifications:

• Valid LGV1 C+E driving licence (with a maximum of 6 points)

• Valid (DCPC) Drivers Qualification Card 

• Valid Digital Tachograph Card

• Previous experience driving an articulated goods vehicle.

Desirable Experience:

• Previous experience in retail supply chain
