As a Design Engineer, you will actively be participating in the design, analysis and development of current and new Drill Bit technologies.
 

As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
 

• Creating Drill Bit Design and manufacturing packages utilizing 3-D modelling and data management systems

• Interfacing with Product Line Management, Operations, Manufacturing, and Technology groups to improve product performance and process efficiency

• Documenting and sharing lessons learned, with cross functional groups

• Supporting Drill Bits Product Development projects

• Supporting Manufacturing with problem solving and issue resolution

• Conducting all activities in line with our non-negotiables, and applicable processes for HSE, Quality, Legal Compliance and Cultural pillars

To be successful in this role you will:
 

• Have a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years relevant experience, Mechanical Engineering

• Have experience with 3D CAD system - experience in Unigraphics NX

• Be Familiar with product data management systems - experience in TeamCenter

• Have experience with simulations software for FEA, CFD

• Experience in Drill Bits; PDC, Tricone or Kymera

• Select engineering techniques and utilize analysis tools to solve problems and makes sound design recommendations

• Research bit performance and recommend design changes to achieve intended results

• Be familiar with mechanical component designs and applied methods

• Drive consistent usage of product design standards (and support updates)

• May be the lead on engineering projects with some functional supervision
