Job Description

  • Ingredion is hiring a Quality Documentation Specialist to review, lead, and respond daily to high volume customer requests in our customer document system. The Quality Documentation Specialist will respond to customer requests for product and manufacturing site documents and questionnaires. You will meet customer response team goals and improve the customer documentation system as part of our Quality team.

    As a Customer Documentation Specialist your responsibilities will include:

    • Completing a high volume of incoming customer requests daily. Responding to requests for standard documents, questionnaires, customer specifications, and quality agreements.
    • Working collaboratively with technical, manufacturing, quality, and customer support groups to complete customer questionnaires.
    • Providing customer letters in response to standard inquiries; coordinating and overseeing the response to non-standard inquires and requests.
    • Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of our products and manufacturing sites
    • Supporting the generation of needed documentation by working with appropriate parties within and external to quality.
    • Collaborating with other members of the Quality team to maintain and continuously improve the systems and databases.
    • Supporting the implementation to Standard Work.
    • Identifying and completing continuous improvement projects.
    • Organizing and maintaining all quality documentation and standard letters and tracking responses to customer inquiries.
    • Working as part of a team to ensure customer documentation response process functions efficiently.
    • Working with Sales to ensure requests are complete and prioritized as needed

    If you hold the following qualifications, we are interested in you:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, or in related science field; or commensurate experience in quality, operations, or regulatory areas.
    • Basic knowledge of hydrocolloids, corn wet milling process, starches, sweeteners, or the food ingredient experience.
    • Confirmed ability to work well independently with minimal supervision; actively seeks mentorship when needed to maintain progress on assignments.
    • Excellent time management skills; ability to handle multiple requests/assignments at a time and complete assigned requests accurately and on a timely basis.
    • Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, graphics, and data base software.
    • Excellent verbal and written social skills.
    • Excellent listening and communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills
