The Label and Graphic Materials Division is looking for a dynamic leader to transform our hourly operations training platform across the US network. This transformation will include implementing best practices in training of new and existing employees ensuring collaboration across critical functions of EHS, HR, Operations, and Quality
Your primary responsibilities and essential functions include:
Work closely with operations leadership and subject matter experts (SME) to identify operational challenges in order to develop a robust hourly training platform. This includes training roles/ responsibilities, policies, procedures, and best practice solutions across the network
Demonstrate application of best practice instructional design methodologies and advanced technologies to effectively promote standardized training and measurement of training outcomes
Collaborate with operations leadership in response to operational and safety accidents/incidents to assess training implications and propose solutions
Work closely with Human Resources, Learning & Organizational Development and Quality functions to ensure sites are maintaining compliance with training records and requirements
Align work activities of Training Managers and/or Coordinators across the network.
Create procedures/work instructions, templates, etc. and enter them into our ISO 9001-2015 Quality Management System
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources or related discipline; preferred
Professional Certification(s) in Instructional Design, Technical Training or other training competencies; preferred
EXPERIENCE
Must have 5+ year previous experience developing and delivering training
3+ years managing training activities (preferably in a geographically dispersed organization) highly desired
Preferred experience in manufacturing industry
Strong continuous improvement experience, Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt certification preferred
Strong collaboration and ability to influence multiple stakeholders
Professional L&D Program/Project management experience
Experience with document control and training as part of an ISO 9001 environment
Think strategically, execute tactically
Be located near a major Avery Dennison Label and Graphic Materials Division site, preferably in Mentor, OH, or Greenfield, IN
Travel up to 30% could be required in the future, depending on primary location
