Job Description

As a Diversity Recruiter you will act as a partner with our Talent Acquisition team, leaders and key stakeholders to create and implement business-aligned diversity recruiting strategies to obtain top talent. You will be responsible for cultivating strong candidate and business relationships through multiple communication approaches in anticipation of talent needs and by building a strong talent pipeline.

  • Works closely with recruiters and hiring managers to deeply understand requirements of the role, it’s function and fit within the organization.

  • Sources and identifies talent through creative avenues that widen the funnel of talented professionals interested in open roles at Gordon Food Service.

  • Leads strategy for outreach to organizations, networks and associations to build relationships & partnerships to strengthen our future pipeline of diverse talent.

  • Participates at various diversity job fairs and events, both virtually and in person, as well as leads logistics and virtual diversity events as required.

  • Ensures internship programs attract and retain diverse talent

  • Oversees campus recruiting teams and events at diverse colleges and universities; drives efforts to build and engage the talent pipeline

  • Works in partnership with recruiters to evaluate and identify external recruitment advertising and outreach approaches to integrate sourcing strategies that will attract diverse candidate slates to our open jobs.

  • Participates on project teams as assigned.

  • Provides input to enhance our brand and presence within targeted social media outlets.

  • Must be able to travel to source candidates and support recruiting initiatives at networking, recruiting and diversity functions

Our leading candidate will have:

  • Three plus years of diversity sourcing and/or recruiting experience required; Significant staffing experience will be considered in lieu of a completed bachelor degree.

  • Human Resources, Business or related degree preferred

  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Hybrid position working 3 days from the office and 2 days from home.

  • Some evening hours will be required on a regular basis if assigned to a functional areas with 2nd shift or differing time zones.
