Work as a part of a team to develop and execute sales strategies to attain strategic and financial goals set by corporate objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
• Accounts: 50-100 independent aftermarket customers
• Scope: Sales of multiple brands across a current base of 14 key Aftermarket product lines
• Budget: $15K to $35K
• Financial: $8-15M Revenue
• Ability to travel: 70% overnight travel
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Create and implement territory sales plans to achieve business unit revenue and profit targets
• Excellent problem-solving skills, professional presence, and experienced consultative sales skills
• Work with fleet customers to build relationships by identifying and solving issues
• High level of technical knowledge of brake, wheel end, drivetrain, steering, and suspension product lines
• A desire to pursue continuing education on products, tools, and processes
• Excellent computer skills and the ability to utilize Salesforce and other technical tools to execute responsibilities
• Keen market awareness to identify competitive trends that may impact market trends either positively or negatively
• Coordinate with Meritor Production sales team to serve the market with direct & non-direct customers
• Conduct sales and technical product training classes for direct & non-direct customers
QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field preferred
• Minimum of 6 years or more experience in sales, marketing, customer support, business, or engineering. • Field sales experience in the markets served by Meritor products
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Experience with CRM data input and opportunity tracking (Salesforce, AS400, etc.)
• Demonstrated strong product and technical knowledge
• The Aftermarket organization has the right to deem a person qualified for a position if that person has had one or more years’ experience in the position or similar position
