The KBB District Manager position requires a strategic approach to developing new business in defined territories.  You will be responsible for achieving target level volumes in signed contracts for Kelley Blue Book’s core valuations products as well as the company’s ancillary products and services.

 

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Dealer Sales, the District Manager will be responsible for driving strategic dealer acquisition and growth within a defined geographic territory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Must be knowledgeable and educated on all products and services that Kelley Blue Book and Cox Automotive offers

Develop an aggressive sales plan within defined territories that is consistent with the company’s sales plans, strategies, and objectives.

Maintain consitantly high sales activity (lead generation, prospecting, cold calling, closing)

Build consistent sales pipelines through effective dealer visits, cold calling, lead nuturing and client referrals

Develop and maintain contact with key prospects by using effective sales presentations – Virtually and in-person

Responsible for Contracting and Orientation of new client relationships

Meet or exceed target levels of performance in enrollment and sales of Kelley Blue Book and Cox Automotive’s Ancillary Products and Services as set by sales leadership

Develop, execute and manage a pipeline of opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets.

Develop and grow client relationships and businesses with a focus on communicating value to new customers

Work directly with other District Managers and Strategic Account Managers to identify prospects and develop market specific strategies for clients.

Utilize Salesforce as the tool or record to capture all dealer sales calls, information and opportunities

Collaborate and deliver a pre-determined number of product presentations to prospective and current customers to align

with or exceed goals set by sales leadership.

Develop solid relationships with Dealers and DTN users to ensure DTN is the finance portal of choice

Lead dealer product training and delivery

Collaborate with other sales teams and leaders across Cox Automotive businesses.

Participation in industry conferences for industry partners

Qualifications:

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

Automotive Industry (various sectors)

Sales Management (develop leads, contract clients, portfolio growth)

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong negotiation skills

Strong time management skills and ability to manage deadlines

Trained in Challenger Sales Model (preferred)

Must be self-driven and comfortable in a high pressure, results driven, and fast paced work environment

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office with ability to manage high volume of electronic and voice communications

Ability to proficiently utilize CRM systems (i.e.: SFDC, MS CRM)

Ability to manage problems and objections with solutions-based approach

Must have a proven track record of success in sales positions

 Education and Experience:

 3+ years of experience in Outside/Field Sales Required

+2 years of Account Management or professional client relevant experience, preferably in automotive

Basic understanding of the Automotive industry

Experience in B2B preferred but not mandatory

BA or BS in relevant field, or an equivalent combination of experience and training

Previous experience presenting/selling solutions to clients

Strong analytical skills and data driven thinking

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Must be collaborative, friendly, creative, entrepreneurial and passionate about the automotive industry with respect to ecommerce & technology.

75% travel, primarily local in the assigned geographical territory

Language: English required

Technical Skills: Well versed in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), Sales Systems

Valid driver’s license
