Position Summary:

The Director of Supply Chain will be responsible for leading various teams accountable for product availability, inventory productivity, and customer service to our Distribution Centers and Stores. The core functions of the position include strategic and tactical decision-making related to balancing demand and supply, developing customer and supplier relationships, and directing the development and execution of innovative supply chain strategies and projects. This role will facilitate and drive results in a fast-paced environment, leveraging strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including creating and fostering a collaborative culture and high performing team. This is a highly visible role requiring a continuous improvement mindset coupled with customer driven innovation to achieve both financial and performance targets. 

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: 

Create and lead a world class supply chain team for multiple customers. 

Develop, lead and coach the team to continuously improve processes and performance.

Provide clear direction to the team on strategic initiatives, priorities, & system/process changes.

Ensure efficient planning and purchasing of inventory to support customer demand.

Establish a long-term vision and near-term performance objectives for the Supply Chain teams, along with setting and reviewing performance and development objectives.

Ensure key supply chain metrics are understood and actioned accordingly, including root cause investigation and leading cross-team efforts to drive necessary improvements. Assist in the development and refinement of critical KPI’s and the associated targets.

Develop supply chain performance meetings to review KPI’s, discuss trends or concerns, and develop improvement plans.

Identify and lead customer-facing, continuous improvement projects.

Work closely with Distribution Centers to provide volume forecasts, partner on capacity concerns, and ensure orders and product flow in a cost-efficient manner.

Partner with customers and suppliers to successfully plan and execute phase in/outs, national and local promotions, new product launches, and holidays.

Foster high-quality relationships with owner/operators to collaborate with on the development and execution of customer facing solutions. 

Collaborate with peers in other global markets to identify key technologies and solutions to enhance innovation and our competitive advantage in Supply Chain. Provide input to the global supply chain solutions organization to develop multi-year strategies with existing and new solutions.

Lead the Supply Chain team on their transformation journey to create a high performing team.

Leverage industry standards and best practices to develop and implement a strategic roadmap. Develop strong stakeholder management. Develop and maintain collaborative and trusting relationships with Customers, Suppliers, System Partners, and Distribution Centers.

Provide thought leadership in customer driven projects, with a customer centric mindset. 

Partner with customers to understand their processes and challenges with the goal of developing holistic solutions.

Develop strategic supplier relationships to achieve joint goals. This includes creating collaborative relationships with key suppliers to uncover and realize new value and reduce risk.

Identify and execute supplier productivity initiatives with key strategic supplier partners.

Monitor, measure, and analyze supplier performance including joint action plans focused on process improvement. 

Partner with Finance on the development of the annual supply plan budget. Ensure cross-functional alignment of the plan.
