As a Strategic Initiative Program Lead, you will be responsible for working with Squads across the firm to ensure the successful delivery of critical cybersecurity capabilities.
In this strategic and collaborative role, your program management skills and experience including planning, dependency mapping, risk identification/mitigation, ability to work seamlessly with various partners and communication will be essential to the delivery of cybersecurity commitments.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity, Master’s degree preferred and 5 years+ experience in large Project or Program Management using Agile frameworks and processes. Cybersecurity experience and/or experience in the Financial Services industry a plus. Agile experience is required.
As a Program Lead you will work with multiple Product Area Squads to coordinate performance using Agile values, practices and processes delivering what matters most to our business, our clients and our people. Working with multiple Squad Leaders, you will support the work of the squads by participating in agile ceremonies like stand ups, sprint planning and retrospectives. The Program Lead will have a dedication to continuous improvement opportunities to help the program execute work better and smarter.
Proven technical experience in an IT development environment and ability to “speak the languageâ€.
Hands on experience delivering sophisticated technical projects requiring collaboration across organizations and apply relevant metrics to planned outcomes in order to chart progress toward achieving goals is required.
Proven experience working with business and technical team members in a matrix environment at all levels and demonstrate positive relationship building, influence and leadership skills including tact.
Strategic problem solver and ability to distill sophisticated ambiguous scenarios into simple measurable plans. Ability and flexibility to lead multiple deliverables in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
Communicate optimally with internal partners and external support resources. Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to cultivate support, lead change and drive acceptance up to and including the executive level.
You are motivated by working collaboratively to deliver agreed business outcomes, drawing on the expertise of colleagues to advise the approach and remove impediments to making progress
Collaborate across multiple squads and product areas to ensure backlog alignment and coordinate initiatives as appropriate
The Team
As a member of the Enterprise Cybersecurity (ECS) Strategy, Risk & Engagement Team, this highly visible player will deliver on committed plans and guide effective decision-making that impacts Fidelity’s strategic cybersecurity initiatives. This role will be key in supporting ECS’s efforts in implementing strategic initiatives to support of the security programs of Fidelity.
ECS is responsible for protecting Fidelity from external and internal threats against our infrastructure, data and systems. This Strategic Initiative Lead role will contribute to the decision support, planning, coordination and risk management for complex strategic initiatives that cross multiple cybersecurity Product Areas and organizations within Fidelity. This Director level role will work across ECS to drive seamless execution. In this role you will work in partnership with Product Area Leaders, Squad, Team and Chapter Leads.
