The Role
We're looking for an Engineering Leader to help us deliver the best desktop experience for our Active Traders. Ideal candidate has strong expertise in desktop development and testing practices with DotNet technology stack, with a passion for using the right tools and frameworks to guide the development and testing of stable, robust, and resilient apps that best serves our customer base.
The Expertise and Skills you Have
9+ years of professional experience in crafting and developing desktop application using DotNet, C# and WPF tech stack.
Passion for technology and can navigate your way across sophisticated and rapidly-changing landscapes by staying on top of the latest trends and thrive by sharing knowledge.
Are comfortable to be a self-starter, who actively challenges status-quo, is curious and not afraid to ask “Why†and “What if�
Care about cycle time and use CI/CD practices, tools to rapidly deploy changes to customers while minimizing risk using practices like A/B tests, blue-green deployments, and feature toggles
Have an attitude of test first development and are experienced in modern test frameworks. We believe in testing and that quality is everyone’s job.
Are data-driven and can measure, collect and use data to make decisions. We understand the value of intuition and the need to balance decisions accordingly.
Have strong communication skills and technical expertise to drive and participate in substantial discussions.
A strong hands-on experience with DotNet, WPF and C#.
Experienced in setting up Test Automation Tools/Frameworks for desktop applications and REST API’s
Strong Object Oriented Concepts and MVVM implementation experience with C# and WPF.
Exposure to Microsoft MAUI is a plus.
RESTful API design and development using Microsoft .NET Core frameworks (C#).
Experience in design patterns & principles such as OO, DD, SOA, Microservices etc.
5+ years of hands-on experience with designing and building large scale applications
Proven knowledge of end-to-end DevSecOps automation with CI and CD pipelines including Unit, Component, Functional, Performance, and Security test automation
Strong Debugging and troubleshooting skills in .Net/WPF applications
Exposure to WPF and Angular application performance and memory management practices.
Proven knowledge of mock frameworks and service virtualization
Experience with Angular, NodeJS and TypeScript will be a plus.
Exposure to Docker and AWS Cloud certification will be a plus
Proven understanding of database design fundamentals.
Collaborating with architecture, security, and UXD to build architecturally compliant apps
Leading development and testing effort by defining architecture and tech stack
Owning the outcome and making sure features are delivered with quality and on time
Capturing requirement from partners and communicating them with the team
Crafting desktop experiences thinking from a customers' point of view
User Test Driven Development practices to deliver high quality products
The Team
The team builds and gives to Fidelity’s Active Trader platform. As a Principal .Net Engineer, you will be an integral member of a dynamic team building new and improving capabilities on Active Trader Platform using Dotnet, C# and WPF technologies.
