The Role

The Product Risk Manager will provide risk assessment and support to PI product teams with an emphasis on emerging and existing products and initiatives coming out of the PI Product Areas. You will partner with PI Squads and other home office teams to ensure risk is appropriately considered as new and changing products and services are developed for our retail customer base.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Strong brokerage services industry knowledge, including retail client product offerings and services (e.g. mutual funds, managed accounts and ETFs.).
  • Experience within our Managed Solutions Experience including Trading and Operational Support
  • Understanding of our brokerage platforms including the digital offerings (e.g. Fidelity Go, mobile apps) and supporting mainframe and cloud technologies.
  • Tried problem-solving skills and experience making decisions
  • Risk assessment and or control audit experience and/or business unit knowledge, a plus
  • Fidelity Investments knowledge with proven understanding of the enterprise as well as understanding of the PI businesses specifically.
  • Previous reporting & analysis experience preferred
  • Project Management experience preferred
  • A dedication and willingness towards continuous improvement and learning new skills and capabilities.
  • Reinforcing the focus on being a collaborative partner in helping PI complete their goals and proactively identifying risks to incorporate in that execution.
  • Understanding of agile principles and ceremonies
  • This candidate should possess excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills. The ability to influence others is crucial. Ability to summarize and present findings in an organized and professional manner. The candidate will be encouraged to interact with all levels of the organization and appropriate business partners.

  • Understanding issues and key areas of risk within PI and driving risk analysis to inform strategic outcomes.
  • An Independent individual that can quickly help business partners problem solve and remove obstacles and establish connections with other team members where appropriate
  • Coordinating and appropriately escalating incidents and supplying reporting to senior leaders to help identify risks and appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Be able to clearly and succinctly convey high level summaries of projects, areas of concern, and actions/decisions needed to move forward. You must clearly tell the story and help the business understand any risks associated with deliverables and suggested actions to mitigate or accept these risks.
