The opportunity:
Adobe Technology Services is looking for an experienced Performance Engineering professional to join its Reliability Engineering team. As the Director of Performance Engineering, you will inspire, lead, and
grow a world-class engineering team, passionate about crafting and executing a compelling long-term strategy that drives performance modeling and monitoring, performance testing and tuning, and
capacity planning.
What you’ll do:
Drive scalability for business critical services to ensure performance, capacity planning and resiliency. In addition, you will be responsible for:
Managing extended teams by analyzing risk assessment, defining frameworks, and scoping remediation work.
Defining and managing internal and external stakeholder expectations and collaborating with cross-cloud leaders to achieve common goals
Participating in architecture discussions and planning with development teams
Managing and coordinating testing and validation of SLAs for key platforms and end-end workflows
Defining and enforcing standardized key performance metrics
Providing technical leadership, career development, and mentoring to engineers
Coordinating reproduction of critical customer situations requiring special performance tests or simulations
Representing Performance Engineering teams in cross Cloud leadership meetings
What you need to succeed:
5+ years of people management experience leading engineering teams with a deep knowledge of a large scale, highly available and distributed system as well as engaging with the executive suite
AWS, Azure and other cloud-based IaaS or PaaS
5+ years of benchmark testing, performance analysis, and tuning with experience developing software benchmarks
BS in Computer Science or equivalent
