Job Description

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing the Rail delivery team with rail systems engineering technical input, advice and support on multi-disciplinary rail projects
  • Managing and coordinating the complex interfaces between the various elements of the rail systems – act as CEM/CRE as required
  • Developing our rail systems capability and offering
  • Identify new markets to support our lineside and ancillary civil design capability
  • Work closely with our rail systems supply chain to deliver multidisciplinary projects
  • Managing the whole life rail system requirements

What we’re looking for:

  • Excellent working knowledge of Specification, design and implementation of railway systems gained on UK mainline railways including Stations
  • Delivery and assurance of integrated safety critical solutions within small and large scale and technically complex rail projects
  • Excellent working knowledge of Rail System Engineering including requirements specification and management, designing for robustness (Whole System Lifecycle), Safety by Design and system integration and verification, interface management and system acceptance
  • Proven innovation and change management, including best practice continuous improvement methodologies
  • Customer Focus - demonstrated by successful project delivery to a rail client
  • A determination and drive to build a technically competent rail systems design team
