Director, Portfolio Solutions Strategic Accounts
The Role
As a Director for Portfolio Solutions Strategic Accounts you will act as the primary specialist supporting Fidelity Institutional Relationship Managers in the distribution of Fidelity’s Portfolio Solutions to Financial Intermediaries including broker-dealers, banks, and insurance firms. This role will be charged with building client relationships and acting as a guide on all issues related our portfolio solutions offering (model portfolios, SMAs, portfolio construction tools, etc). We act as liaisons to key business partners Strategic Advisors (SAI) and Fidelity Institutional Wealth Advisors (FIWA), Relationship Management, and Investment Product.
The Value You Deliver
Delivering on sales and engagement goals by focusing on Broker-Dealers
Support the National Accounts team in the sales opportunity process from prospect identification and development through closing sales opportunities mostly via phone, video conference, and in person meetings.
Partner with our asset management counterparts to develop and cultivate a pipeline of custom models.
Coordinating internal resources to gain firm approval for new products and marketing materials.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
5+ years of financial services experience (either sales, relationship management, product, or investment management)
Bachelor’s degree and/ or MBA
Strong experience in the Microsoft Office Suite
Series 7 & 63 registrations
A thorough and detailed understanding of Fidelity Asset Management portfolio construction techniques, underlying mutual funds and ETFs, and strategic and tactical asset allocation investment strategies
Ability to articulate detailed mechanics of investment process
Able to interact well with both external clients (gatekeepers, advisors, home offices leadership, due diligence analysts, etc.) as well as internal clients (relationship managers, senior management, wholesalers, etc.)
Comfort and strong ability to work in a highly collaborative environment, with a frequent focus on gaining consensus across a broad spectrum of investment management, distribution, product management and senior management constituents
Ability to multitask, prioritize, problem solve and make decisions
