Job Description:

Become the Director of Hosting and Cloud Services for Capita Technology & Software Solutions (TSS):

This is a senior role within Capita’s newly formed Technology & Software Solutions shared services team.  As part of this role, you will be reporting directly to the IT and Networks Director on the TSS Senior Leadership Team.

With responsibility for leading c300 IT professionals in the delivery and continuous development of Cloud and Hosting services into Capita’s internal and external clients, you will be joining Capita at a very exciting time.

This leader will provide Hosting and Cloud Services through the management of infrastructure and services from on-premise infrastructure, capita private cloud as well as public cloud (Primarily Azure, AWS).

You will get an opportunity to work the skilled teams to develop all of our Cloud Service offerings, establish new offerings in an ever-changing environment, optimize our cloud usage and further develop our strategic direction and cloud adoption.

What you’ll be doing:

• Manages and establishes priorities for run, maintenance, design, development and analysis of Capita’s entire server & storage infrastructure, with focus on quality of services.

• Supervise data centre operations team and lead, direct and utilize knowledge on best practices in area related to infrastructure.

• Support the data centre strategy and recommend modifications as appropriate to adjust for changing circumstances and conducts capacity planning for the data centre.

• Support the strategy and transformation team with the migration to the cloud.

• Interlock with the Software team to understand software deployment strategy and appropriate cloud capacity planning.

• Ensures audit and compliance reviews by implementing processes and procedures.

• Supports the Alliance team with the cloud partner Alliances (MSFT, AWS)

• Drives the adoption of cloud and helps mitigate the perceived risks associated.

• Interlock with the Security team on all elements of cyber security and compliance for both DC’s and Cloud.

• Provide assistance into Bid cycles including Bid Reviews and bid governance.

• Be accountable for the delivery of the function’s performance within and across Capita Technology & Software Solutions (TSS) geographies

• Drive the simplification and standardisation of processes and tools used across all TSS

• Ensure the function is properly aligned and integrated across TSS and the wider Capita in order to positively contribute to the financial performance of Capita

• Provide strong leadership and direction in a matrix management structure to promote best practices in respective areas across the new organisation to ensure successful delivery.

• Develop and deliver service roadmaps for all relevant tooling and work toward continual service improvement and automation.

• Be fully accountable for the financial performance of area, with reporting and presentation at governance.
