Job Description

As the most senior members of the European Field Leadership Team, the Director of European Business Development will have a pivotal role in ensuring early customers and their patients realise benefits of enhanced access, outcomes, and value from the paradigm-shift that is enabled by rapid, highly accurate, instrument-free molecular testing.Key Responsibilities• Maximise revenue ramp by pursuing strategic business opportunities within our targeted segments, ensuring broad, cross-functional stakeholder endorsement from “pilot” or “launch partner” customers that progress to implementation at scale as high-value customers.• Pursue and develop strategic opportunity in assigned “market adjacencies” in non- traditional segments (i.e. campus, corporate, travel, entertainment, etc)• Identify distribution candidates in the clinic and point-of-care space, evaluating qualifications and competitive implications, negotiating contract terms, and managing distributor or specialty sales agency contracts.• Collaborate with Marketing to develop and iterate sales and marketing tools, with the objective of optimising and standardising compelling sales and implementation approaches for customers in each targeted segment.• Position proposals and execute customer contracts for target market and/or pilot projects.• Ensure successful implementation and systemic adoption of products.• Day-to-day communication & issue resolution with early Launch customers, often in-person at customer sites.• Influence and participate with the Executive commercial leadership team in shaping theresources and org design to accommodate customers and potential partners on a global scale.Key Skills• Expert executive-level, cross- functional value selling, problem-solving, and consensus building resulting in rapid sales growth.• Exhibit entrepreneurial ability and agility while building the organisation, assuming broad responsibilities (often beyond the role) as requested, to create a strong foundation for the commercial team of the future.• Proficiency with, and culture- building for, the use of state-of- the-art CRM and lead generating tools.• Demonstrated proficiency establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with functional groups, internally and externally.
