    In late 2020, we launched a retail media offering, ASOS Media Group to enable our third-party brand partners to increase the visibility of their brands through elevated storytelling and highly targeted placements that showcase their brands and new products drops, enhancing customer discovery throughout the shopping journey, creating unique marketing opportunities for our third-party brands, and creating value for ASOS.

    Since launching, our retail media publishing revenue has grown rapidly, but has only begun to tap the full potential. A fast paced, creative, and performance-driven team, the AMG team is comprised of Partnership Managers (sales and account management) organized across advertiser categories. AMG partners closely with the Commercial teams in working with our third-party brand partners to grow the total profit the company captures from the relationship.  The team works collaboratively with the marketing function that services AMG's requirements for creative, integrated production management, ad tech, and media buying.

    The Opportunity

    Acting as a general manager, the Director of ASOS Media Group will be responsible for defining the strategy, roadmap, and growth plan, working with key stakeholders in Commercial, Finance, Marketing, and Product Management, and for delivering the profit growth defined in the business plan.

    • Oversee ASOS Media Group through leadership, management, direction/strategic focus and prioritisation

    • Deliver the annual AMG sales and profit plan

    • Develop and execute the AMG advertising sales plan including

    • Define the 3Y and 10Y strategic plan (including P&L, strategic direction, sales approach)

    • Work closely with the marketing function to continue building AMG as the leading media offering for targeting fashion-loving 20 somethings globally.

    • Managing key senior internal stakeholder relationships with Commercial, Marketing and Finance teams

    • Oversee the management of the existing portfolio of Tier 1 brands to co create exceptional multi-platform campaigns for new product and new brand launches to drive incremental sales and raise cut through

    • Explore and launch (if appropriate) new advertising opportunities to drive incremental revenue to ASOS and offer supplier brands more opportunities to talk to our 20 something customer 

    • Manage 3rd-party agency relationships including Relish (product dispatch agency), FPMX (Programmatic), Google (Programmatic)

    • Hold Senior Marketing relationships with key stakeholders at supplier brands (e.g. Nike, ELC, Ralph Lauren)

    • Part of core team with Commercial to pitch and negotiate to potential new brands 

    • Responsible for delivering the annual ASOS Beauty Awards

    We'd love to meet someone with

    • Significant experience in top-tier online media sales organizations, managing large client relationships and sales/account management teams

    • A general management, entrepreneurial mindset with success in delivering commercial budgets

    • A proven track record of developing sales growth both through new business and existing client relationships

    • A track-record for building strong cross-functional relationships and shared success

    • Experience developing programmatic ad solutions as well as custom, partnership marketing programs.

    • A deep understanding of the evolving ad tech landscape (experience working with Google Ads and within Google Marketing Platform)

    • Strong leadership skills and strategic acumen, combined with operational excellence and a hands-on approach
