Overview
Cigna Medicare is hiring a new Director to oversee our growing Risk Adjustment Analytics team. This team is responsible for predictive analytics, reporting, and data strategy for Cigna's Medicare Advantage risk adjustment programs. Investing in rapid growth of Cigna's Medicare business is a pillar of Cigna's strategy, and advancing our risk adjustment capabilities is critical to driving quality customer care. The leader will closely partner with internal and external partners to prioritize development and drive adoption of analytics and reporting. This role presents an opportunity for a proven leader with a track record of success in risk adjustment analytics to build the next level of innovative capabilities for a rapidly growing Medicare Advantage plan.
Responsibilities
Analytics – Own prospective predictive analytics related to risk adjustment, with a focus on actionable stakeholder-centric analytics which identify and drive closure of customer care gaps. Own retrospective analytics to identify and prioritize actions to ensure coding is complete and accurate. Balance innovation with delivery, using prototypes and pilots to shape development.
Reporting – Develop stakeholder and management reporting which enables visibility and accountability related to risk adjustment operations progress.
Data strategy – Develop and execute holistic risk adjustment data strategy roadmap, bringing all relevant data into single conformed environment which enables rapid development of analytics & reporting.
Business partnership – Partner with Risk Adjustment Operations, Finance, and market leadership to shape prioritization and drive adoption of analytics.
External stakeholder partnership – Partner with Clinical and Provider partners to understand needs and train on use of analytical capabilities.
Customer care – Ensure analytics are aligned with overarching Cigna focus on health of our customers and ensuring customers get the care they need.
Investments – Identify and secure investments needed in internal or third party talent, tools, data, and intelligence. Lead build/buy/outsource decisions related to analytics and data, including EHR tools.
Strategy & Prioritization – Define risk adjustment analytics roadmap, and set team prioritization accordingly.
Team leadership – lead mid-size, growing team of business analytics and data science professionals. Lead talent strategy to develop team capabilities and capacity to match growing business needs.
Requirements
Degree in analytics, data science, statistics, applied math, or related field.
Deep knowledge of Medicare Advantage product, and risk adjustment programs.
Proven expertise in developing new data and analytics capabilities
Track record of success in managerial roles, developing teams and driving actions through influential leadership
Ability to operate both in-the-details and at executive communication levels.
This role is WFH which allows most work to be performed at home or on occasion at a Cigna office location. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite
This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
