This Director role is a member of the newly created Workplace Investments/Health Care Group (WI/HCG) Central Line Finance Team, a Center of Excellence (CoE) delivering impactful and insightful financial analysis to our business partners. The primary objective of the role will be to lead the line finance support and financial planning and analysis for your assigned business(es) to drive improved outcomes and financial results to the broader organization. You will work closely with the assigned business(es)’ Finance VP, L2/L3s, and Head of WI/HCG Finance. In a highly matrixed organization, you will partner closely with WI/HCG CoEs, including Pricing, Decision Support & Analytics, and Costing to support analytics around cost behavior, update assumptions for deal pricing models, ongoing pricing strategy, and new product/channel development plans.

The Stock Plan Services organization is a 500+ person organization responsible for delivering high quality client & customer services; including strong connections to the retail organization focused on driving cross-enterprise relationship

The Expertise You Have

A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or equivalent; MBA or advanced degree preferred

8+ years of professional experience in Finance with a successful track record in financial modeling and analysis

Financial services experience; experience in benefits outsourcing (WI/HCG) a plus

Proven ability to combine a strategic business perspective with strong project management and analytical skills

Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to “tell the story” and communicate complex financial information to influence executive decision making

Proficiency in financial modeling and presentation tools (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Thinkcell, etc.) and the ability to teach others

Ability to take initiative and seek creative solutions that challenge conventional approach

Proven leadership skills and ability to develop financial analyst talent

Ability to prioritize, delegate, and drive work in a highly matrixed environment, displaying the judgment to know when to involve other COEs

Demonstrating an in-depth understanding of financial results, including key drivers, emerging trends, and anomalies to share with senior management to guide effective decision making

Using tools and business knowledge to continuously provide insightful information, reporting and analytics that evolve with changes in the business, including proactive thinking and analysis

Reviewing, analyzing and monitoring business performance, synthesizing data, analyses, and conclusions into presentation form for senior management

Operating with a high degree of autonomy, serving as a proxy for the business Finance VP to various internal audiences

Thinking and working across WI/HCG to ensure consistency in analysis approach, standards for data and definitions, and proactive support of time critical projects

Finding opportunities to streamline work processes and simplify models to make the team more efficient and effective

Developing an understanding of WI/HCG financial architecture to understand impact of assigned business(es) on LOB and product financial performance and to support modernization efforts

Proactive partnership and communication with business and Finance partners

Partnering with GWO capacity organization on impacts of key operational metrics on staffing levers and financials; developing an understanding of the WI/HCG and PI financial architecture to act as a SME on SPS and Non-Qual enterprise-wide profitability; requires close coordination with Fidelity Personal Investments (PI)
