JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for overseeing every aspect of the talent development and organizational development initiatives for Spectrum Reach. The primary focus of this role is to lead talent planning and leadership development while also providing guidance regarding organizational design in partnership with the HR Business Partner team.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees the initial needs assessment and then overall design and rollout of leadership development course content while continuously improving Spectrum Reach’s proprietary leadership development programs.
- Implements and oversees the strategy for developing content based on the needs of the business as well as on employee feedback regarding career and leadership development aspirations.
- Leverages Charter corporate leadership development classes and content where applicable.
- Reviews overall offerings and content as needed to ensure it is relevant and still meeting the needs of the company and employees.
- Oversee the creation and ongoing evolution of the calendar of leadership and development classes that will be deployed for the various target audiences (ie., aspiring leaders, mid-level leaders, senior leaders, etc.)
- Ensure high potential talent is being provided developmental growth opportunities by maximizing participation of classes/learning experiences, while monitoring efficiencies through usage of reporting dashboards and scorecards.
- Will manage a team member who may also facilitate sessions virtually or in person as needed to ensure a best in class experience for participants.
- The direct report to this position will update the learning management system (Cornerstone) with course enrollment materials, ensures participants receive pre-work and/or the necessary pre-course communications/instructions, oversee all in-class logistics (set up and facilitation), and securing guest speakers if applicable.
- Review and assess program management which includes ensuring classes run smoothly and professionally, helping to maximize the quality of the user experience for the various leadership develop classes offered.
- Will play a significant role in partnering with other Spectrum Reach Learning and HR team members to support larger talent initiatives across the enterprise.
- Takes the lead on IDP development for top talent
- Partners to ensure succession plans are well thought out
- Plays a key role in the annual Talent Planning initiative (“9 Box).
- Provides input, best practices and recommendations on talent development recommendations for Spectrum Reach.
- Creates a vision to minimize the dependency of outside vendors/content.
- Plays a key role in organizational design consulting with HR Business Partners.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills /Abilities and Knowledge
- 8+ years of training and people development/leadership development experience as well as organizational development and organizational design experience.
- Previous demonstrated capabilities interacting with senior executives on talent planning and organizational design.
- Very Strong project management capabilities.
- Proven track record prioritizing and organizing multiple projects and assignments
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with peers and project members
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge and ability to use computer and software applications
- Previous experience maintaining highly sensitive and confidential information
- Previous experience organizing others and working across large geographies
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
