Summary
The Director, Global Risk Management Lead, Immunomodulatory Products (IMiDs) reports to the GRM Lead of Publishing and Support. This is a critical role providing leadership on GRM best practices to Local Markets as they manage and support IMiD products to ensure continued patient safety.
Responsibilities
Maintain BMS’s guiding principles towards IMiDs as it pertains to risk minimization programs
Ensure that local markets are adhering to BMS’s IMiD guiding principles
Serve as a primary and centralized GRM representative to support local markets for all IMiD-related discussions (internal and external)
Perform reviews of bioequivalence sample requests and provide guidance to requestor with internal teams.
Liaise with cross-functional internal teams to further patient safety
Collaboratively and effectively interact with colleagues from different disciplines and varying degrees of technical experience in all levels of the organization
Support and oversee implementation of IMiD and products requiring similar Pregnancy Prevention Programs
Work with BMS Risk Management leadership team to continuously improve reporting approach and delivery where applicable
Develop and maintain formal working procedures
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Department oversight and other tasks
Maintain knowledge of current GRM related regulations and future legislative/regulatory initiatives
Direct, hire, manage, develop and mentor staff as/if needed
Ensure effective SOP coverage, resource vs. process alignment and process adherence
Provide scheduled and ad-hoc reports to the leadership team as required
Other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced scientific degree preferred (Masters, PhD, PharmD, BSN, etc.
10 years of Health Care industry experience, with 3-5 years of risk management experience is preferred.
Demonstrated leadership in leading cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams
Understanding of Risk Minimization programs, including pregnancy prevention programs
Demonstrated ability to work with and oversee vendors/partners
Occasional international and domestic travel may be required: 10 -15%
Skills/Knowledge Required:
Exemplary leadership skills with proven ability to foster partnerships across companies and organizational boundaries
Creative thinker, exceptional listening and analytical skills, along with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Strong strategic orientation with ability to translate into operational priorities and plans
Thorough understanding of GRM regulations
Advanced user of Microsoft Office tools
