The Director,  Global Corporate Indirect Procurement & Systems will be responsible for the holistic management of Ingredion’s global spend for Indirect Materials and Services of ~$750M while also serving as the strategic lead for core Procurement systems.  As a key member of the Procurement Leadership Team, core responsibilities will include a comprehensive review of the global spend, development of a five year category strategy, and execution of sourcing projects to reduce cost, protect operating supply, and improve service and quality levels.  In addition, a key responsibility of the role will be the evolution and execution of the company’s procurement technology platforms such as SAP Ariba, SAP Fieldglass, and PowerSteering.  This highly visible role will require a candidate with the ability to work closely with regional business leaders regarding the utilization of strategies and techniques to meet the needs of internal customer requirements within the operating environment.  In addition, processes and policy changes as a result of the new procurement technology platform will be proposed and implemented.

As a Director your responsibilities will include:

• Conduct a thorough assessment of the company’s full spend on Indirect goods and services
• Lead the Global Procurement Center of Excellence and deliver core analytics, insights, and KPIs to the business
• Assess the complete market for relevant goods and services including; trends, forecasts, risks, geopolitical effects, and supplier profiling
• Define a fully comprehensive category strategy for indirect goods and services
• Translate global procurement strategy into detailed category plans with a set of measurable global, regional, and local targets
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and avoidance that are attributable to the P&L and able to be audited by a Finance stakeholder
• Execute on target opportunities by conducting strategic sourcing projects and supplier selection related activities using best practices and e-Sourcing tools
• Lead the negotiation and development of key contracts through the effective partnering with the supplier, Legal, and the business stakeholder
• Manage key strategic supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and service.  Conduct timely reviews with suppliers to measure performance against contractual standards and performance expectations
• Develop risk management strategies relating to potential supply disruptions including alternative sourcing options and product/service availability
• Lead a supplier enablement strategy to maximize spend transacted through SAP Ariba Buying and Supply-Chain Collaboration
• Lead a global custom rule creation program to enrich spend visibility to 98%+ accuracy
• Lead the delivery of 100% digital cataloging of key procurement contracts
• Identify procurement processes and policies for alignment at the country, region, and global levels
• Serve as a business SME for future digital procurement platform deployments

Qualified candidates will have:

• A bachelor’s degree in business, supply management, engineering, life science, or other related discipline and 7-10 years of procurement/purchasing experience
• Technical, pant operation, and/or engineering experienced preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of purchasing practices, policies, and procedures; in-depth experience in using SAP Ariba as a value creating tool, SAP Fieldglass, and PowerSteering
• Experience in international procurement / sourcing activities with a record of leading change and cost reduction in cross-cultural environments
• Experience in successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously with results consistent with management’s expectations
• A demonstrated history of successfully collaborating with multiple internal stakeholders
• A passion for managing and developing employees in alignment with company values
• An ability to multi-task
• Strong oral and written communication skills, be highly organized, and have excellent problem solving/decision making abilities
• Excellent analytical and financial acumen including cost modeling, budgeting, and forecasting
• Excellent skills within the Microsoft Office suite
