The Role

The Stock Plan Services Financial Reporting Team is an integral function within the broader Equity Compensation business. You will lead a team of Financial Reporting Managers responsible for delivering an exceptional client experience through timely close period execution, proper control and audit procedures and responsiveness to questions and concerns.

Provide oversight of the Financial Reporting Service Delivery channel through management level escalation support, problem resolution and associate training and development.

Set service level targets, productivity and quality standards for the function and hold staff accountable to delivering on these metrics.

Bringing a fresh perspective and unique background, help identify and implement best practices and process improvements across the Financial Reporting Function for both internal and external partners.

Help coordinate platform enhancement roll outs with internal staff and clients.

As an experienced and effective communicator, you will build positive relationships with internal business partners and will periodically engage in client interactions to support Financial Reporting Managers.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Bachelors Degree

5-7 Years Professional Experience

Management Experience – Proven leader, successful in coaching, energizing and empowering high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute innovative approaches to achieve strategic and operational business goals while navigating complex organizational issues

Ownership of key talent management processes including hiring, on boarding, goal setting, performance reviews and other talent development activities

Outstanding critical thinking, problem solving, decision-making, and analytical skills

Outstanding relationship management, interpersonal and communication skills with which you build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships and relationships at all levels of the organization

Presentation skills – Periodically interacting with our sales team and our prospective clients with product demonstrations and assisting with client RFP questions.

Client Service Experience – Acting as an escalation point and uses broad book of business knowledge to provide support for the issues at hand.

Knowledge of accounting regulations for Equity Compensation (ASC718, ASC260)

SEC Reporting Experience

CEP Designation a plus (Certified Equity Professional)

Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) or database experience

Excel/Access expertise

The Team

Be a part of the organization that helps service our Fidelity Stock Plan Services (SPS) Financial Reporting clients! Our team supports roughly 450 Corporate clients in delivering monthly and quarterly reporting to support accounting and SEC reporting requirements as it relates to equity compensation. Your team serves as the client’s primary support for SPS’ financial reporting offering, with each team member having a client base of typically 20 – 25 public and private companies consisting across all segments (Emerging, Mid, Large and Strategic). The team is responsible for the processing and reporting of their client’s financial reporting data according to the client defined reporting schedule. The team works with their clients to establish, implement, execute, and supervise ad-hoc requests for support and analysis. The identification and development of process benchmarks and standard methodologies across the client base are important to client delivery. The team will train client contacts to use Plan Sponsor Workstation (PSW) and its functionality such as SPS reporting, including customized reporting dashboards, as well as Team Workspace. The team is highly engaged with client contacts and builds long term relationships to provide end to end service delivery.
