Operations & Delivery (Enterprise Veeva Commercialization Content)

  • Lead and manage global delivery and operations for the Veeva Commercialization Content Vault Platform in the Commercial & Medical Domains, servicing business critical capabilities.
  • Evolve Enterprise Veeva Commercialization Content Vault Delivery & Operations excellence.
  • Establish and own strategic roadmap for the Commercialization Content Capability.
  • Provide digital capabilities that are reliable, adaptable, accessible, and secure. Embed strong operational excellence, cybersecurity, and resilience using the power of data and analytics in collaboration with third-party risk management. ​
  • Drive Enterprise Veeva digital strategy by harmonizing support models, embedding focus on user experience, and maintaining enterprise architecture disciplines and governance.  
  • Ensure daily operations and support activities are in place across capabilities and domains through proper planning, support models, and monitoring.  
  • Oversee global demand management across all markets and execute global release management through agile delivery methods and aligned to the platform principles for Commercialization Content space. 
  • Align respective solutions & capabilities’ architecture and roadmap with Enterprise Veeva domains by partnering with the Enterprise Veeva Architecture team to reduce technical debt, maximize digital investments, and ensure scalability and resilience. 
  • Partner with the IT business pattern and business unit partners to accelerate the introduction of new digital capabilities by employing Agile frameworks for iterative value realization.   
  • Ensure the Enterprise Veeva platform is audit-ready and maintain compliance with global regulatory and statutory requirements as well as internal policies. 
  • Foster a mindset of innovation across the team to consistently look at ways of working and reduce manual effort through automation, leveraging AI/ML, (Artificial intelligence and Machine learning), and our external partners. 
  • Serve as an escalation point for project issues and operational incidents (on a 24 x 7 x 365 calendar).
  • Position the capability to support new product launches and provide innovation to drive brand expansion in close partnership with IT Partnering and Commercialization Content business. 
  • Support key acquisitions and divestitures as they arise, looking at ways to find synergies and meet integration timelines. 
  • Serve on steering and working committees for key projects and larger initiatives.
  • Partner regularly with Build & Run colleagues and multiple IT Plan teams to ensure alignment with ongoing operations (Run) and project outcomes (Build).

Governance

  • Advance the development of the Enterprise Veeva governance model by evolving and driving the platform governance framework, support a structure to reduce meeting debt, and ensure the implementation of purpose-focused meetings with clear objectives and action items. 
  • In close collaboration with internal and external partners, design and implement the enterprise engagement strategy model to improve platform exposure, company-wide engagement, education, and improve cross-platform and company-wide communications.
  • Support and manage cross-team activities for the Enterprise Veeva Head.
  • Evolve Enterprise Veeva operations to seek out efficiencies and facilitate standardization, driving cross-platform activities and synergies in close collaboration with Enterprise Veeva architects and leads.
  • Lead cross-platform strategic initiatives driven or supported by Enterprise Veeva and spearhead a range of cross-team strategic initiatives
  • Foster a culture of inclusion by promoting accessibility and visibility across Enterprise Veeva.

Financials

  • Work with the Enterprise Service Partner Delivery Manager to plan resourcing of delivery and operations corresponding to the available budget.
  • Manage and oversee Enterprise Veeva team financials, including budget planning and tracking as well as the review and approval of consumption and invoices from Enterprise Service Providers.
  • Provide input to the delivery and support/ongoing aspects of the demand process. Review team’s estimates and answer questions around estimates.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or related field.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in Information Technology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or financial industry
  • 5+ years’ experience in managing teams delivering and operating complex global programs.

Ideal Candidates will also have:

  • Demonstrated strength in partnering with internal/external contacts and partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a matrixed environment and to influence adoption of new thinking and technology.
  • Demonstrated success in leading other delivery and operation teams,
  • Demonstrated success in IT solution design and delivery experience for global complex solutions in the biopharma space.
  • Strong leadership, communications, interpersonal, and negotiating skills; effective manager of people and strong team-building skills.
  • Veeva Vault Certification and familiarity with Veeva and their vault products.  
  • Demonstrated architectural/ operational oversight in a complex multi-module (vault) solution ecosystem.
  • Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience managing direct or indirect report(s).
  • Strong relationship building skills to establish trust and rapport with business
  • Experience managing technical vendors and outsourced providers
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and/or oversee multiple, simultaneous projects and programs, organize resources and establish priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence without direct authority, managing stakeholder expectations at all levels in a matrixed global environment while maximizing business value delivered
  • Experience working with Agile Methodology
  • Strong facilitation and meeting management skills
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated personal integrity, judgement and professional maturity and ability to collaborate
  • Ability to work at both a strategic level and detailed hands-on level as required depending on the situation and needs of the team
  • Demonstrated ability to solve unique problems applying conceptual and innovating thinking to develop solutions and adapt processes
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas, anticipate potential objections and persuade others, including leaders, to adopt a different point of view
  • Strong relationship building skills to establish trust and rapport with business
