For this reason, we have a Global Digital Organization, focused on accelerating digital commerce and to support the eCommerce teams ‘on the ground’. The charge is to dramatically improve our global capabilities and results in eCommerce across all categories. We are currently recruiting candidates for the position of Director, Digital Shelf Excellence and eCommerce Analytics.
Position Role & Responsibilities
How does this role fit in? The opportunity exists to be data and analytics first and provide critical leadership and a transformative vision to develop an end-to-end analytics program, which includes the right people, data, tools, analytics practices, processes, and culture to win in eCommerce. Position responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Keeping an eye on the size of the prize of eCommerce, build and/or buy end-to-end analytics solutions which answer key business questions with actionable insights or results;
Tailor what works best in major markets and retailer ecosystem and drive ‘do and learn’ analytics strategies and measurement frameworks local markets to apply to their businesses and become self-reliant on eCommerce analytics and digital shelf excellence;
Liaise with global IT best-in-class analytics vendors, market business owners to define, build, and deploy successful roll outs;
Automate and standardize all reporting, processes and tools to enable business to spend time responding to actionable insights rather than spending time collating and engineering data;
Constantly stay up-to-speed on what is best of breed in 3rd party providers and qualifying, launching and benchmarking their services for continuous improvement in eCommerce analytics and digital shelf excellence.
Tip of the spear thought leadership:
Develop and lead workshops, presentations, seminars, internal conferences, to introduce best practices and enhance in-market teams’ knowledge of eCommerce analytics and digital shelf practices;
Liaise with external parties, consulting firms, other CPG, industry leaders and digitally native companies - to keep an eye on ‘what good looks like’ across the sector;
Continuously evaluate and measure eCommerce business reporting and KPI / metrics development in line with market maturity and capabilities. Keep an eye on external benchmarking, competitive intelligence to define an outside-in eCommerce measurement and KPI strategy;
Elevate analytics eCommerce IQ and cultivate strong internal analytics communities of practice

What We Ask/Position Requirements:
You bring knowledge, passion, curiosity and a desire to change the (Colgate) world and exhibit and live the growth and challenger mindset;
You have at least 10 years of relevant business experience, with at least 4 or more years' experience in eCommerce measurement & analytics, digital marketing, digital shelf excellence and/or digital commercial leadership;
You have expertise with products from Edge by Ascential, Profitero and other providers both local to US markets and globally required;
You have a strong business sense, analytical skills and ability to crystalize multiple data points into clear insights, identify new eCommerce action opportunities and build business cases;
Communication is your forte and you lead with the ability to translate key business concepts to analytics and communicate complex technical ideas and results to non-technical partners;
You are comfortable with and have some experience in analytics;
You come with a proven track record of high impact results while navigating rapidly-changing environments;
You are insatiably curious and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in eCommerce and analytics;
You have experience collaborating with executive stakeholders including C- level executives both internally and externally;
You lead with the ability to generate business questions, run analysis and drive actionability from multiple sources of data, industry best in class etc.;
You have experience working with cross-cultural and geographically dispersed multi-functional teams and agency partners;
You bring an informed, educated perspective on eCommerce and a high degree of intellectual curiosity and intellectual humility to help the company accelerate in digital transformation;
You are entrepreneurial, hands-on, go-getter and have ability to pivot to where the business needs are;
You are comfortable in ambiguity and can work in a self directed environment
