You will be providing guidance to business partners on the key rules and regulations that must be followed when building innovative solutions for our clients and customers.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred
  • Experience in employee benefits industry required
  • Experience in healthcare, insurance, broker-dealer services preferred
  • Experience in risk management, and/or compliance preferred
  • Knowledge of federal laws, regulations, and agencies governing business lines supported (e.g. ERISA, Department of Labor, Internal Revenue Service, Health & Human Services, Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services, state Departments of Insurance) is strong
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, including ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization, to deliver results
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills – ability to present ideas and complex information clearly and effectively through multiple channels
  • Proven track record to identify, analyze and resolve problems independently, and call out matters when appropriate
  • Ability to respond effectively to shifting priorities while maintaining progress of regularly scheduled work
  • Microsoft Office suite of applications, SharePoint, and eReview are some of the many tools in your toolbox
  • Providing compliance guidance for new and enhanced products and services throughout lifecycle of a project from business requirements development, review and approval of internal and external collateral, to roll-out and measurement of key governance activities
  • Monitoring, reviewing and disseminating requirements of new laws, regulations and other guidance applicable to employee benefit plans and the products offered in the areas of accountability
  • Supporting associate licensing needs to enable business selling strategies
  • Providing decision support to resolve compliance issues that arise in the business
  • Responding to regulatory inquiries for workplace accounts/products
  • Drafting and reviewing policies and procedures for specific compliance content
  • Developing enhanced executive reporting driving transparency & measurement of program health

The Team

Our Compliance team effectively manages compliance readiness activities related to new regulatory rules and requirements, and provides product and service support to the Workplace Investing & the Health Care Group businesses to help achieve key business goals and initiatives.

As part of the broader Enterprise Compliance team, this role within Workplace Solutions Compliance works closely with partners in Legal, Risk, Product and other business functions to help ensure that products and services offered by Workplace Investing & the Health Care Group to employee benefit plans, employers, and customers meet relevant ERISA, DOL, IRS, CMS, specific federal, state, and local and other applicable laws, regulations, directives and standards pertaining to Fidelity.  In this role you will engage with senior level management to inform and influence key product and process decisions to help ensure compliance.
