The Expertise You Have

BS degree in Computer Science or related software engineering field.

Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.

Proven expertise in Data Architecture including experience with cloud first data and database implementations.

Experience building and implementing cloud databases for transactional systems on the cloud

3+ years’ experience with cloud data services such as AWS RDS, AWS DynamoDB, Azure SQL, and Azure Cosmos DB; Oracle on Azure/AWS; YugabyteDB and/or Cockroach DB a plus.

Proven cloud knowledge and understanding of AWS services (IAM, S3, EC2, EMR, Lambda, etc.) and/or Azure services (Active Directory, Storage Services, VMs, Functions, etc.).

Proven experience with relational databases such as Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server.

Experience with database resiliency, failover, traffic routing and database sharding on the cloud

Experience designing and building data solutions (e.g., OLTP, master data management, and data warehouse) on-premises and in the public cloud (AWS, Azure).

Ability to evaluate, prototype and recommend emerging cloud data technologies and services.

Enterprise expertise in data management standard methodologies such as data integration, data security, data warehousing, data analytics, metadata management and data quality.

Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect; AWS Certified Database – Specialty) is highly desirable.

Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban).

The Skills You Bring

Experience with public cloud providers specifically Azure and/or AWS.

In-depth experience with database resiliency and scalability is required

Knowledge of alerting and monitoring tools and system management tools for environments and configuration management and cloud orchestration tools.

Ability to establish and govern proven design patterns to architect, migrate or build, and deploy systems and applications to public and private clouds.

Expertise in cloud data services ecosystem such as OLTP, ODS, streaming products, and data lakes.

Excellent understanding of data modeling concepts.

Ability to work in a fast paced, highly matrix environment.

Solid skills to encourage confidence, build executive presentations and guide strategic discussions all levels of the organization.

Innovation the ability to apply technology innovations to business problems that help differentiate Fidelity WI as a leader in our industry.
