The Role

Fidelity is actively seeking an experienced technology architect to work in the Asset Management Technology group. At Fidelity, architects are leaders in technology playing a significant role in driving all aspects of technology planning and execution.

This position can be in Boston, Merrimack, Raleigh, Smithfield.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Proven leadership skills, demonstrated ability to mentor, influence and partner with engineering teams to deliver scalable robust solutions.
• Significant experience working on technology and solution architecture, especially for software platforms, in an engineering, design and architecture capacity. Proficiency in multiple enterprise technologies, architectural styles, and techniques.
• Passionate about technology and delivering solutions for difficult and intricate problems.
• Expert knowledge of AWS Cloud Architecture and experience with AWS Managed Services, Search Platforms such as LucidWorks and Elasticsearch, Cloud Security, Docker and Kubernetes ecosystem, Cloud Automation, Java and Python. Knowledge of Azure would be a plus.
• Proven experience with architecting applications for resiliency and cost optimization.
• Experience with pipelines for deploying applications in AWS. Experience with API design, distributed architecture patterns is required.
• Well-grounded knowledge of engineering and continuous delivery practices, ALM tools.
• Expertise with diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Undergraduate degree in computer science or a related field ideally combined with an advanced technical degree.
• Strong solution architecture, engineering and design skills.
• Passion and curiosity, desire to work with others to foster ideas and produce creative solutions to difficult problems while making smart choices balancing design and delivery.
• A strong influencer who can integrate effectively into the culture. Combine facilitation skills with a results orientation to deliver excellence and execution.
• Organizational savvy and maturity; work effectively across different organizational units and business and technology groups.

You will be part of the Architecture team in Asset Management Technology, and provide strategic technology direction and architecture vision for building and enhancing innovative cloud technology platforms. Come join us in driving the technology and success of a world-class Asset Management team.

Our architects in Asset Management Technology provide the technical vision and leadership required to deliver complex and critical solutions for the Asset Management business. Ability to focus on detailed technical work as well as the ability to engage senior management and business teams will be critical to success. Asset Management is completely based on the cloud, making this a critical and highly visible role.
