Mars Pet Nutrition has established a new function, the New Business Development Team, to design and build the new business models required to build direct relationships with pet parents and connect them to the portfolio of products and services offered across the Petcare ecosystem.
The CRM Manager will be responsible for planning and developing our overall CRM strategy including building and optimizing customer journeys, planning and executing email and SMS marketing and establishing a robust test and learn agenda to ensure that our plans meet or exceed all business goals.
Undergraduate degree in a business related discipline
Min. 3-5 years CRM experience including email and SMS marketing
Experience within either a rapid growth start up or global consumer goods/retailer with a successful DTC practice
Proven success as an email marketing or CRM manager in performance-based, sales-driven environment
Past experience with email marketing, lead nurturing, marketing automation, and/or web analytics
Proficient using marketing automation technology
Experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud/SFMC
Knowledge of latest digital marketing trends
Familiarity with analytical and database tools
Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
Strong project management skills
An ability to work under tight deadlines
Team player
Good time-management skills
Experience with referrals and loyalty a plus

Develop and align CRM campaigns to drive commerce in alignment with brand strategies
Support 1P data strategy, including data collection and enrichment
Identify target audience and grow our contactable database for CRM campaigns
Design and implement mobile-first email and SMS marketing campaigns
Work with internal or external specialists (creative designers, copywriters) to create & deploy CRM campaigns
Proofread emails for clarity, grammar, and spelling
Define and execute testing plans
Develop a lead generation strategy
Develop an audience segmentation strategy and a personalization roadmap
Develop documentation for processes, A/B tests, and promotions that succeed through email
Determine and report on email and SMS marketing KPIs
Analyze campaign performance and suggest improvements
Work in close partnership with our Value Proposition Managers, creative services partners, and key technology and agency partners to build strong, 1:1 relationships with pet parents in the DTC space while providing value back to important stakeholders in sales and marketing.
