Join the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and have a future that matters: Be proud; Be challenged; Be unique.
The Challenge
The Corporate Communications team is at the heart of DIO, sharing news and information about the crucial role that DIO plays within the Ministry of Defence.
Made up of four key disciplines; Strategy and Planning, Internal Communications, External Communications and Campaigns and Marketing, we inform, engage and influence a diverse range of audiences.
We are looking for creative communications professionals to join our growing team, who will help us to continue to transform and modernise our approaches and channels.
The Campaigns and Marketing Officer will lead a portfolio of external and internal facing campaigns.
This is a new role and a key focus will be delivering DIO’s public estate safety campaign, which has recently been piloted. It is a dynamic public-facing behaviour change campaign, which spans owned, earned, paid and partner channels. The post holder will be instrumental in rolling-out the second phase of this campaign, working with partners and other stakeholders to drive activity that supports campaign objectives.
The Campaigns Officer will also work on a range of campaigns targeting staff, customers and suppliers, as well as the general public. They will bring creative ideas and a strategic approach, which will support DIO in improving its reputation with key audience groups.
The successful candidate will be experienced in running campaigns from planning through to evaluation. They will produce impactful copy and creative content for diverse channels. They will need to work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders and deliver against tight timescales.
We are looking for someone who can think innovatively and experiment with new approaches. They will draw on insight to inform planning and be proficient in evaluating multi-channel campaigns. They will provide advice to leaders and teams on marketing, campaigning and branding.
Whilst DIO has successfully modernised its approach to communications in recent years, there is scope for the post-holder to continue to evolve the team’s campaigning capability, exploiting emerging technology, channels and best practise to support DIO’s communications goals.
We employ approximately 4,900 staff from a very diverse range of professions, and we work across the world; in Germany, Cyprus and the Falkland Islands, Norway, Poland, Kenya, Belize, Nepal and Oman.
