The Challenge
Do you see yourself as an Estate Facilities Manager? If you are looking for a high profile and challenging role that will provide a sense of achievement this role is for you. You will be key in delivering effective hard and soft facility management for several key establishments within the Defence Estate.
The Estate Facility Manager (EFM) is an individual and semi-autonomous leader and plays a key role in the delivery of services at several sites in the South East area for the RAF, Army and UK Strategic Command.
Please be aware that Developed Vetting security clearance is required for these roles.

Main Responsibilities
• Ensuring the engagement and stakeholder management of the local Army sites and its customer representatives.
• Working in collaboration with the Industry Partner (IP) and other agencies to deliver key tasks including providing assurance of delivery and statutory compliance of the estate together with delivery of customer development tasks.
• Ensuring that the IP is delivering the correct level of service against agreed indicators and enabling issue resolution to maintain operational outputs against agreed requirements.
• Assurance of both hard and soft delivery for a multiplicity of tasks with a particular focus on statutory compliance including Legionella, Asbestos and Construction Design and Management Regs (CDM).
• Effective management of additional works service tasks including delivery of the Command Infrastructure Delivery Plan (CIDP) and contract amendments.
• Collation and reporting of hard and soft facilities management data.
• Maintaining key stakeholder engagement with both industry partner and customer representatives.
• Effective and timely issue management.
The EFM will work closely with the Senior Estate Facility Manager (SEFM), immediate peers and the wider DIO community. The postholder may be required to make site inspections of construction sites, airfields and training areas. This may expose the post holder to inclement weather conditions and require them to negotiate busy work sites and uneven ground.
Travel Requirements
Regular travel to sites within the Service Delivery Area and the general South East and periodic opportunity to travel to interesting and varied locations within the UK, with occasional overnight stays at location.
