We are seeking to appoint the Head of Strategic Projects in the Digital Regulation team in DCMS’s Digital and Tech Policy Directorate. This is a unique opportunity to lead a high-performing team working on some of the most pressing and cutting-edge questions of our time.
Your team will be responsible for delivering high priority projects which support the UK government to drive forward its world-leading, pro-innovation regulatory approach. You will draw on insights from academic, industry and government sources to provide advice on cross-cutting issues and wider trends across the digital landscape. For example, understanding the implications of blockchain to examining new and emerging types of digital consumer harm.
Head of Digital Regulation Strategy role:
Your team will be responsible for delivering high priority projects which support the UK government to drive forward its world-leading, pro-innovation regulatory approach. You will build virtual teams from across Whitehall to design innovative policy responses - working closely with external stakeholders and drawing on data science, behavioural science and service design or other.
You will establish strong links with horizon scanning bodies, industry, academics and wider civil society in order to capture the latest insights and trends across the digital landscape. You will oversee work with specialist analytical colleagues to commission new research and find new sources of rigorous evidence to underpin government's approach to digital regulation
You will use these insights to provide regular and timely advice to Ministers and seniors across Whitehall.
