Job Description

We’re looking for a Digital Product Designer to work on the LEGO.com technology platform as part of our Shopper Technology team based in London.

This role would ideally suit an experienced UX & UI design professional with previous experience working on large-scale digital products.

The product team is responsible for developing new ways of presenting and selling LEGO products and experiences across our digital channels.

Core Responsibilities

• Create a consistent, user-focused and premium experience across different digital platforms

• Build a deeper understanding of our users needs and behaviors by identifying user pain points and improvement areas through analytic data and metrics, user research, competitor analysis and user testing

• Design and explore hypothesis, ideas and features through prototypes to help validate ideas

• Optimize design solutions by conducting user testing through in-person lab testing and online remote user tests

• Quickly and thoroughly carry out end to end UX/UI design including user journeys, flow charts, wireframes, building prototypes, interaction design and technical specifications

• Actively collaborating as part of a cross-functional team by engaging with all squad rituals including daily stand-ups, retrospectives and sprint planning

• Work directly with the product manager and engineering team to produce the best possible solutions that balances technical feasibility and experience improvements to ensure the best possible outcome for the end users and the business.

• Actively looks for opportunities to collaborate with designers across the organization through inspiration sharing, workshops and developing the UX network within LEGO

In this role there is an opportunity to make a big impact by leading the product design and innovation of new ways to present and sell LEGO products and becoming a key contributor to our digital design system.

Key to this role will be understanding the needs of the visitor, how this aligns to the business objectives and our overall technical platform strategy to deliver both big and incremental changes supporting our growth in revenue and visitor engagement.

Do you have what it takes?

• A proven track record of implementing UX/UI design projects in a commercial experience working as a digital product designer

• Experience working within an agile team and ideally within the eCommerce sector

• Commercial experience of designing and implementing large scale digital products

• A true team player with strong collaboration skills and the ability to create strong relations across teams

• A strong portfolio demonstrating digital design experiences that communicates the goals, process, and outcomes of your work

• In depth understanding of human-centered design principles and techniques

• In depth understanding of best practices for UX and UI design patterns on mobile and web platforms as well as experience working with and contributing to design systems

• Hands on experience with UX research techniques, ability to design and run user testing and facilitate creative workshops

• Experience working with design and prototyping tools, e.g. Figma, Sketch, InVision, Principle etc.

• Experience designing for accessibility, ideally to AA standard

• Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, Frontify and GitHub

• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

• Knowledge in designing for iOS and Android applications

• Experience working with reward and loyalty programs
